    The twin bans by the ministry were announced after a car exploded in the parking area of a mosque in Riffa, south of Manama, as worshippers were performing the Isha (evening) and Taraweeh prayers. The interior ministry said that gas cylinders were used in the explosion.

    The car blast was promptly condemned by the country’s leaders and major political figures and societies amid calls by King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa for the arrest of the perpetrators.

      TGONU postponed the recent gathering that was to be held in Shaikh Isa bin Salman Mosque in West Riffa during Taraweeh (Isha) for security and safety reasons.

      TONGU praises the efforts of the security forces in capturing the terrorists and praises their speed in arresting the three suspects being held for the crime of bombing a car in the car park of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Mosque in West Riffa.

      TONGU confirms and assures its stance and support towards the security forces and appreciates their role in protecting the nation.

      An official source of TONGU stated that their decision to postpone the prayer gathering in Shaikh Isa Mosque on Saturday was in response to the orders of the Ministry of Interior and for security reasons which confirms that TONGU is a political entity that respects the law and demands implementation and enforcement on everyone.
