    Our challenge therefore is that of understanding that a world community would be one where reciprocal trust would allow the simultaneous coexistence of multiple, even contradictory iconographies instead of the dominance of a single universalist one – even if characterised in terms of ‘one world’ – because, despite its universalist contents, any attempt at reducing the many to one is more a reaction to fear and a search for security than an actual springboard for opportunities, which are always to be found in the diversity and in the variety of political geography.
