Des défenseurs écossais des droits des homosexuels se sont réjouis du vote, mais l'Eglise libre d'Ecosse, issue d'un schisme survenu dans l'Eglise d'Ecosse à la fin du XIXe siècle, a déclaré que la motion adoptée était contradictoire et confuse.

In 1994, on a per capita basis, black South Africans could expect to receive approximately 12 cents for every rand received by a white South African. In 2012, almost 20 years into our democracy, black South Africans were receiving only 13 cents for every rand received by white people.
Here it must be explained that the key driver of such continued inequality is not white wealth but, rather, abysmal education and labour-market outcomes for black South Africans.
We estimate that, on current trends, only 40% of black South African children are set to pass matric, and only 4% are set to pass maths in matric.

Missing happy hour drinks with friends in San Francisco? Would it be the lack of fresh air and sunlight? The monotonous scenery? The infrequent navy showers? Would it be living amicably with five strangers in just 1400 square feet? Or the tedium of filling out multiple daily surveys and reports so the researchers running this project get good data?

Hier, j'ai passé une heure à remplir des formulaires, parce que des bureaucrates culturels ont décidé que onze de mes livres étaient indisponibles et qu'ils allaient les mettre à disposition en numérique sur internet.
