Prisonniers palestiniens ; campagne BDS
A peine la gauche arrivée au gouvernement, la Cour de Cassation (qui avait le dossier en mains depuis plus d’un an) a condamné Sakina Arnaud, pour avoir apposé une étiquette « BOYCOTT ISRAEL APARTHEID » sur une bouteille de jus de fruit dans un magasin Carrefour de Bordeaux, juste après les massacres de Gaza. « Discrimination contre une nation, incitation à la haine et à la violence ». Oui, vous avez bien lu : ce ne sont pas les Palestiniens qui sont victimes de discriminations, de haine et de violence, c’est l’Etat d’Israël. Et tous les boycotts d’autres Etats ne posent aucun problème, seul l’appel au boycott d’Israël serait un délit.
Voici qui donnera sans doute satisfaction à Manuel Valls qui s’est déclaré « éternellement attaché à Israël », ainsi qu’à François Hollande, qui avait déclaré « indigne » et « illégal » le boycott d’Israël. Le même François Hollande n’avait pas eu un mot de critique concernant le boycott du Mexique par sa co-équipière Martine Aubry qui était allée jusqu’à faire fermer une exposition culturelle sur le Mexique dans sa ville de Lille, pour une seule femme emprisonnée au Mexique !
Mais cet arrêt de la Cour de Cassation vient d’être désavoué par la Cour d’APPEL de Paris qui a jugé, le 24 mai dernier, que le fait d’appeler de manière non violente au boycott d’un Etat ou de ses produits ne constituait pas un délit. La Cour d’appel a ainsi confirmé le jugement du 8 juin dernier de la 17 ème chambre correctionnelle de Paris, à propos de la publication sur le site europalestine.com d’une vidéo collective d’appel au boycott au Carrefour d’Evry. La Cour d’Appel a tenu à rappeler que : « La critique pacifique de la politique d’un Etat relevant du libre jeu du débat politique qui se trouve, aux termes de la Cour Européenne des Droits de l’Homme, au coeur même de la notion de société démocratique, la mise en ligne de cet appel au boycott d’Israel ne constitue pas une infraction ». On se souvient que la procureur du Parquet de Paris avait elle-même refusé de demander une condamnation contre Olivia Zémor, estimant que le boycott citoyen d’un Etat n’avait rien d’illégal.

D’aucuns pourraient y voir une forme d’opportunisme artistique. Un peintre qui produit des œuvres sur Ipad, ou Iphone. C’est vrai, ça peut laisser place au doute. Reste que l’artiste dont nous parlons n’est autre que David Hockney. Alors c’est vrai qu’il crée sur les toiles à la pomme, mais Hockney, c’est avant tout 50 ans de création, qui sont présentées au Guggenheim de Bilbao jusqu’au 30 septembre pour une expo d’envergure : « Une vision plus large ». Huiles sur toile, dessins sur Ipad, vidéos numériques ou dessins au fusain, l’artiste y expose les 150 facettes de ces paysages qui ont fait son succès et scellent l’attachement du peintre britannique à sa terre natale, le Yorkshire. Ses évocations de dame nature nous révèlent sa manière personnelle d’envisager l’espace, les couleurs et la perspective dans un jeu de déformations déroutantes du champs visuel.

Introduite vendredi à 38 dollars... et proposée à la vente à 42,05 dollars, elle a clôturé mardi à 31 dollars. Soit une chute de 26,3 %, par rapport au premier prix proposé aux investisseurs.
L’action, dont le prix d’introduction en Bourse avait d’abord été fixé à 28 dollars, a été réévaluée à 34 puis à 38 dollars. Et, à la veille de la cotation, le nombre d’actions mises sur le marché a été augmenté de 25 %, aidé par un « buzz » très favorable entretenu par Facebook et ses banquiers.
