Last week’s Game of Thrones season finale ended with a scene full of racial imagery that seemed kind of messed up. But actually, argues comedian Aamer Rahman, Daenerys’ whole storyline has been problematic from the very beginning. Here’s why.

Dans l’ultime épisode, cette joute verbale oppose le père et le fils, Tywin and Tyrion. Elle est la première partie d’une conclusion construite comme une démonstration pédagogique. D’abord la théorie, ensuite la pratique par l’exemple. La scène peut sembler très (trop ?) théâtrale, mais c’est certainement l’effet voulu, lui donner quelque chose qui s’apparente à une tirade de Richard III. Ou encore rappeler cet échange à couteaux entre Lord Varys et Lord Baelish dans « The Climb ». Avec ces mots de « Littlefinger » : « #chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb but they refuse it. They cling to the realm, or the gods, or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is ».
