En el blog de Saurik, explica detalladamente los pasos que deben de llevarse a cabo para conseguir este hackeo. El modo: acceder al dispositivo para poder entrar en él y a través de unos códigos, instalar un software que permite grabar imágenes y audio sin que el usuario se de cuenta. Las únicas consecuencias que acarrea el hackeo, es que los datos de las bibliotecas de imágenes y vídeo del dispositivo son eliminados antes de que el usuario externo pueda acceder a las gafas de Google. Algo que según este hacker, podría ser perfeccionado hasta el punto de que el usuario no no se percate de ninguna manera.

Sadly, due to the way Glass is currently designed, it is particularly susceptible to the kinds of security issues that tend to plague Android devices. The one saving grace of Android's track record on security is that most of the bugs people find in it cannot be exploited while the device is PIN-code locked. Google's Glass, however, does not have any kind of PIN mechanism: when you turn it on, it is immediately usable.
Even if you wear Glass constantly, you are unlikely to either sleep or shower while wearing it; most people, of course, probably will not wear it constantly: it is likely to be left alone for long periods of time. If you leave it somewhere where someone else can get it, it is easy to put the device into Debug Mode using the Settings panel and then use adb access to launch into a security exploit to get root.
The person doing this does not even need to be left alone with the device: it would not be difficult to use another Android device in your pocket to launch the attack (rather than a full computer). A USB “On-The-Go” cable could connect from your pocket under your shirt to your right sleeve. With only some momentary sleight-of-hand, one could “try on” your Glass, and install malicious software in the process.

We are a very small team set-up in Italy trying to complete a detailed and polished simulator based on the actions of real riots happening around the world - mainly for iOS and Android (eventually also available for PC and MAC).
We need some funding for software, licenses, a means to have every member of our team eat and sleep under a roof, and hopefully a way to visit and observe the various riots and manifestations happening in our world today. In this paper, we have proposed a robust, acceleration
based, pace independent gait recognition framework us-
ing Android smartphones. From our extensive experiments
using cyclostationarity and continuous wavelet transform
spectrogram analysis on our gait acceleration database
with both normal and fast paced data, our proposed algo-
rithm has outperformed the state-of-the-art by a great mar-
gin. To be more specific, for normal to normal pace match-
ing, we are able to achieve 99.4% verification rate (VR) at
0.1% false accept rate (FAR); for fast vs. fast, we are able to
achieve 96.8% VR at 0.1% FAR; for the challenging normal
vs. fast, we are still able to achieve 61.1% VR at 0.1% FAR.
The findings have laid the foundation of pace independent
gait recognition using mobile devices with high accuracy.

There's a ton of of feature phone users, and not enough are on Facebook. The social network should look to how it can convince its feature phone users to get their friends on-board too. That might mean some kind of incentive program for feature phone recruiters or recruits, such as mobile data discounts.

James Vaughan, a 25-year-old former business consultant from London, developed Plague Inc. with the help of just three freelancers and a MacBook he borrowed from his parents. The total budget for the first version of the game was just under $5,000.
“I thought if I made back the costs from doing it, that'd be amazing,” Vaughan said.

Some of us have pretty much abandoned e-mail altogether … for Facebook.
These vendors are becoming our feudal lords, and we are becoming their vassals. We might refuse to pledge allegiance to all of them — or to a particular one we don't like. Or we can spread our allegiance around. But either way, it's becoming increasingly difficult to not pledge allegiance to at least one of them.

Untappd is all the rage with beer nerds these days. It's kinda like a foursquare for beer, where you “check-in” to beers, earn badges, and of course, see what (and where) your friends are drinking. The Untappd devs were kind enough to even put support in for homebrewed beers, allowing brewers to enter their own creations into the system.

While Untappd has great Android and iOS apps, it always seemed silly to me while at home to have to find my phone every time I pulled a pint off the ole kegerator.

While surfing Seeed Studio one day, I noticed some nice hall-effect flow sensors. They were pressure safe, and made of nylon so they could handle carbonated beer with no problems. I also knew I had an extra Arduino Ethernet Shield languishing about and so the germ of an idea began to form... what if my kegerator could check-in my pours automatically?

How it works:
An interrupt routine on an Arduino calculates the RPM of flow sensors installed in the tap beer lines. Once it notices a tap flowing, it performs a beer “checkin” API call to api.untappd.com, lights the corresponding LED, and begins a 5 minute “lockout” timer to prevent multiple check-ins (from topping off a pint, etc). ...

Wonder if Android Jelly Bean MediaRouter API does anything that Pulseaudio through DLNA / UPNP cant do. NIH again ? The packaging may be better though - I have found easier to route audio through netcat than deal with Pulseaudio or Jack over the network (though I got horrible audio latency).

Deux applis #android qui permettent de synchroniser ses contacts et ses calendriers via son propre serveur caldav ou carddav, donc sans stocker ces informations chez Google. Le prix est modique, et une fois en place ça fonctionne très bien avec #owncloud par exemple.
