Le parti d’opposition récupère le dossier des coupures d’électricité et demande la nationalisation de la société de distribution récemment privatisée :
Main opposition Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) Muğla deputy Ömer Süha Aldan, Ordu deputy İdris Yıldız and İstanbul deputy Aydın Ayaydın visited the protesting farmers on Thursday night.
CHP’s Mardin provincial head Mahmut Duyan and some village heads also accompanied the CHP deputies during their visit to the farmers.
Speaking to the press regarding their visit, Ayaydın said the CHP deputies sent a four-page letter to Interior Minister Efkan Ala and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yıldız, asking for a permanent solution to the problems that the farmers faced.
Ayaydın said that the privatization of electricity in Mardin should be done away with. He believes that control of the electricity should be transferred to the state- run Turkish Electricity Distribution Company (TEDAŞ). Ayaydın added: “We [CHP deputies] will give a detailed report on the possible solutions to the problems that took place here. We will pursue a solution to these problems.”
