A suivre.

The construction project of a canal joining the Caspian and the Azov seas is currently under consideration in the Agency of Construction Initiatives under the RF President.
The idea to connect the Caspian and the Azov seas appeared in the 1930s. Then the Manych Canal starting from the Azov Sea and passing to the Caspian Sea through Krasnodar and Stavropol regions was half-built. The construction was suspended by the war.
The completion of the Manych navigation canal will make it possible to reduce the time and costs of cargo transportation and to raise the efficiency of the Russian transport network.
