The ITIC’s Main Activities

The Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center researches and issues information bulletins about terrorist organizations, among them Palestinian and Lebanese terrorist organizations, Al-Qaeda and global jihad terrorist organizations around the world. The ITIC monitors the terrorist organizations’ activities (terrorism, establishing terrorist networks, procuring weapons and financing, media) in the Middle East and beyond. It also studies anti-Israeli incitement and the campaign to delegitimize Israel in the Middle East and around the globe.

The ITIC issues bulletins dealing with the structure of the Palestinian terrorist organizations, their weapons, financing and activities, the Palestinian Authority and its policies toward the terrorist organizations, the terrorism-sponsoring countries (especially Iran and Syria), the global jihad and its links to the Palestinian terrorist organizations, preventing terrorist attacks, etc.

Israel: Gaza Airstrikes Violated Laws of War

At least 18 Israeli airstrikes during the fighting in Gaza in November 2012 were in apparent violation of the laws of war, Human Rights Watch said today after a detailed investigation into the attacks. These airstrikes killed at least 43 Palestinian civilians, including 12 children.

Human Rights Watch field investigations found 14 strikes by aerial drones or other aircraft for which there was no indication of a legitimate military target at the site at the time of the attack. In four other cases, attacks may have targeted Palestinian fighters, but appeared to use indiscriminate means or caused disproportionate harm to civilians.

Human Rights Watch did not attempt to investigate all Israeli airstrikes during the eight days of fighting called “Operation Pillar of Defense,” from November 14 to 21.

Nonviolence: the scariest thing in the world for the violence-addicted

The common thread between these three examples is the totally transparent contempt for any measure, especially nonviolent ones, that transpire without the stamp of approval by an occupation army whose primary purpose is the control of an occupied, stateless Palestinian population while Jews, under full military and diplomatic protection, steal Palestinian land for Jewish-only apartheid colonies and harass, maim, and kill Palestinian human beings and their livelihoods—with near complete impunity.

Every Israel supporter ought to have a firm discussion with himself or herself and ask: Are Palestinians allowed to do anything besides die quietly or migrate out of the region?
