      En effet, la méfiance est justifiée de par les abus qui peuvent découler d’un service qui centralise autant d’informations, d’autant que celles-ci peuvent être croisées avec Gravatar, un autre service du même éditeur, Automattic, utilisé sur l’essentiel des blogs WordPress et même de nombreux autres CMS, même propriétaires, permettant ainsi d’identifier les commentaires qui ne passent pas par Akismet.

      Pour autant, je n’ai pas souvenir d’avoir entendu parler d’un quelconque scandale concernant Automattic et l’abus de vie privée. Ce n’est pas une entreprise qui a une mauvaise réputation dans ce domaine. Mais peut-être parce que personne ne s’est penché sur ses services sous cet angle ? Ou peut-être ne sont-ils pas assez nombreux pour exploiter toutes ces données d’un point de vue commercial ? Je l’ignore.
