A UN official who now leads UNICEF’s Washington office spent years secretly feeding confidential United Nations documents and internal deliberations to Israeli diplomats, according to a new investigation published by Drop Site News on Wednesday.
The outlet reviewed a hacked archive of emails belonging to Ron Prosor, the Israeli regime’s former permanent representative to the UN.
The correspondence, spanning 2014 and 2015, shows Yahav Lichner, then an official at the UN Population Fund, repeatedly sharing classified reports, pre-release material, and private accounts of meetings involving senior UN officials, including then-Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
How the archive surfaced
Drop Site News reported that the emails were obtained by the Iranian hacking group Handala, and later published online by the whistleblower platform Distributed Denial of Secrets.
