Slow down Massachusetts — you can’t go hot-boxing your cars just yet! But that’s exactly what one man in Springfield, Mass. did this week.
The AP reports: “An officer enforcing seat belt laws as part of the annual ’Click It or Ticket’ campaign saw a vehicle drive through a stop sign Tuesday evening. When the driver stopped and rolled down the window, police say, the officer was ’covered in a plume of smoke.’”

Sgt. John Delaney: “Are you smoking marijuana while operating this motor vehicle?”
Stoner-Driver: “Why, yes, I am, officer.”
The 30-year-old was ultimately charged with operating under the influence of drugs, failure to obey a stop sign, and failure to wear a seat belt. So take this as a lesson: if you are smoking a J in your car, obey all traffic signs and wear your damn seatbelts!
