A citizen bridge towards Syria | Anne-Laure Losseau | TEDxUNamur
On a day in January 2015, a little Syrian boy froze to death in a refugee camp in Lebanon. One little boy amongst thousands of displaced families struggling for their lives during this terrible winter. An image that, a few days later, in Belgium, will put in movement a small group of citizens from all horizons, with the strong intention to find a way to act, with their means and at their level, in order to help these families forced to flee the horrific war ravaging their country.
This is how the project “Syrie, un visa, une vie/een visum, een leven” is born. Quite a crazy project, accomplished by some tenacious citizens and that will allow, a few months later, to directly save the lives of several Syrian children and their families.
