What is Brave Ad Replacement?
Brave’s goal is to speed up the web, stop bad ads and pay publishers. One of the ways we plan to accomplish this is with ad replacements. We will also invite users to fund their wallets and to use those funds to pay the publishers of their favorite websites.

Brave, a blockchain enabled browser with advanced security, enhanced speed and micropayment capabilities, has just received $4.5m in new funding from Founders Fund’s FF Angel, Propel Venture Partners, Pantera Capital, Foundation Capital, and Digital Currency Group. This nearly doubles the prior round of $2.5m in funding received in November of 2015, while the company was still in stealth mode.
Led by Brendan Eich, creator of the JavaScript language as well as co-founder of Firefox maker Mozilla, the Brave browser features are going to seem obvious to everyone in retrospect, and they are going to change the way everyone experiences the internet as they fix the current mess in the ad-tech ecosystem.
