BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — The inauguration of the first Palestinian Embassy in the Vatican city will take place on Saturday January 14, and will be attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Pope Francis, according to a statement from a spokesperson for the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

Le président palestinien vient à Rome inaugurer la nouvelle ambassade de Palestine près le Saint-Siège.
Le pape François recevra, samedi matin 14 janvier à 10 heures au Vatican, le président de l’Autorité palestinienne Mahmoud Abbas, en visite à Rome où il doit inaugurer, le même jour, l’ambassade de Palestine près le Saint-Siège.
Depuis l’entrée en vigueur de l’accord global entre le Saint-Siège et l’État de Palestine, signé le 26 juin 2015 au Vatican, la mission palestinienne auprès du Saint-Siège a en effet été élevée au rang d’ambassade.
