sraeli forces, on Saturday, blocked the construction of a water pipeline in Palestinian Atouf village, near Tubas in the northern occupied West Bank, local sources said.
The mayor of the village, Abdullah Besharat, told Palestinian WAFA News Agency that the Israeli army ordered the driver of a bulldozer to stop working on the site.
Besharat added that the project aimed at providing clean potable water to livestock breeders in Atouf and surrounding villages of the Jordan Valley.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, Israeli soldiers confiscated one of the Palestinian-owned bulldozers and chased another one in Atouf village, in the Jordan Valley.
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities handed out halt construction orders against Palestinian-owned property in al-Walaja village near Bethlehem city, in southern West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli soldiers invaded Ein Juwaiza area in al-Walaja village, northwest of Bethlehem, and distributed notices ordering local residents to halt any further construction of their homes, retaining walls and a water well.
