What should be a higher priority for society, preventing pigs from becoming sick or preventing human illness? Personally, I place a higher value on preventing human illness. I think most would agree. Why, then, are pig barns much better ventilated than schools? 1/40

La Bretagne (l’Iowa de la France, concernant l’#élevage_porcin) est en pointe sur le sujet de l’aération et du filtrage (dans les élevages, pas dans les écoles !…) On ne rigole pas avec la santé des bestiaux, ça nuirait au profit.

Alors ça, c’est la considération la plus déprimante de la semaine…
Et la réponse est simple : des cochons qui se contaminent massivement via aérosol (et meurent éventuellement), c’est un coût, en argent, pour l’exploitant ; les élèves, non :-)
The vast majority of people would be much better off if IAQ were improve through better ventilation & filtration.
We spend the majority of our lives indoors. Proper filtration & ventilation would enormously improve the air we breathe.
When we think of air pollution, we usually think of lung damage. But polluted air damages all organs of the body. With cleaner air, brain function would improve, heart attacks & strokes would fall, & illness would be reduced. It works for pigs. It can work for humans.
