Depuis les core update de juillet et décembre 2025, google a décidé de tuer l’internet des gens passionnés. L’expression « google est en train de tuer le web » n’est plus une simple hyperbole de blogueur en colère, c’est devenu un sujet de thèse économique en 2026.
Google, en situation de monopole écrasant, ne se contente pas de se foutre du sort des créateurs, il est en train de changer de métier. Pendant 25 ans, le contrat était simple : produisez du contenu, google envoie du trafic, google se rémunère avec de la pub. En 2026, ce contrat est résilié unilatéralement. Google est devenu un cannibale dévastateur.
Désormais, google désindexe en masse. Sur mon site de 3000 pages, les derniers moments ont vu 2600 pages supprimées. Cependant en interne, google utilise encore mon contenu, même désindexé. C’est ce que j’appelle le paradoxe du « cannibale affamé ». Car c’est là que le cynisme atteint son apogée. Google a besoin du web pour nourrir son IA, mais en privant le web de trafic, il affame les créateurs qui produisent la matière première.
Google utilise les contenus des sites pour générer ses AI Overviews. En gros, il me supprime, mais il utilise mon travail pour construire le produit qui me remplace. Google préfère que vous payiez 20 € par mois pour leur IA, plutôt que de vous envoyer sur un blog de recherches historiques gratuit.
De ce fait, j’ai pris la décision de supprimer tout le site. Le contexte global est devenu toxique. Il faut savoir quitter une table de jeu quand on réalise que les dés sont pipés.

the string “auto” at the start of a sizes attribute, any browser with support for it will say “figure it out myself; got it,” ditch the rest of the sizes attribute, and move on — browsers without support will throw the meaningless-to-them auto value out and continue on to the rest of attribute as usual. That means you can start using this right now, at absolutely zero cost and with no more overhead than typing auto, at the start of a sizes attribute
An image likely to appear in the user’s viewport when a page first loads is a situation where you wouldn’t want to use loading="lazy" (again, sizes="auto" will only work with lazyloaded images), but these images are the exceptions, not the default.
Every other image — all those images scattered throughout columns and grids and sidebars and “cards” and smatterings of little round user avatars that the web is really made out of? loading="lazy" sizes="auto". Job done. Congratulations.

To maintain a clean and scalable codebase, here are the golden rules for working with z-index:
– No magic numbers: Never use arbitrary values like 999 or 10001. If a number isn’t tied to a system, it’s a bug waiting to happen.
– Tokens are mandatory: Every z-index in your CSS should come from a token, either a global layer token or a local positioning token.
– It’s rarely the value: If an element isn’t appearing on top despite a “high” value, the problem is almost certainly its Stacking Context, not the number itself.
– Think in layers: Stop asking “how high should this be?” and start asking “which layer does this belong to?”

But now we have “AI” and everyone can generate some code. That might work. Or might mine some crypto or give your laptop an STI. Decades of collective work proving that “open source” is not less but at least as secure as commercial offerings now slowing going down the drain. Because a bunch of men – and it is always all men – just don’t want to be responsible for their actions. Which is fine if you are 5. But after 18 it gets old really fucking fast.
We deserve good software in a world where participation is often connected to having access to a computer, to software, etc. We should push towards more reliable software, more secure software, software that is accessible, that protects people against misuse and allows them to be as safe as possible in doing what they want to do.
What do we get? Slop. Slop generated by guys who – when called out for their irresponsible behavior – just start crying about how they only wanted to “share” or “inspire” or “educate” while handing out running chainsaws to kids.
And that was what makes me fucking furious. Not just these dudes being spineless but the disrespect to those who have run serious projects for decades to build a more humane stack.
And it reminds me that “Open Source” is not enough. Open source code can still be harmful to you and your digital existence, can put you in danger without you realizing it. We need something better. Something more.
We need to be willing to take responsibility for and care of one another. “AI” generated software is the opposite of that.

De leur propre initiative, les employés en faisaient plus parce que l’IA leur donnait le sentiment que « faire plus » était possible, accessible et, dans de nombreux cas, intrinsèquement gratifiant.
