Mark Graham and Stefano De Sabbata for Information Geographies mapped the most visited site based on Alexa data. Countries are sized by Internet population. There aren’t many surprises with Facebook and Google in the Americas and and Europe, but it gets more interesting when you look elsewhere.

Oui c’est aussi ce que j’avais vu ! J’ai utilisé scapetoad pour un travail sur les IGP de Rhône-alpes, c’est vrai que j’avais déformer le shapeFile issu de Qgis et ensuite utiliser le shapeFile déformer en sortie de #scapetoad dans R pour faire un beau #choropleth avec #ggplot ...
Alors il se prépare peut être qq chose de beau ?

Mozilla is testing one potential process, deploying the type of code review that is routinely used on commercial software before it is released. Thaney says that the procedure is much like scientific peer review: “The reader looks for everything, from the equivalent of grammar and spelling to the correctness of the logic.” In this case, Mozilla opted to examine nine papers from PLoS Computational Biology that were selected by the journal’s editors in August. The reviewers looked at snippets of code up to 200 lines long that were included in the papers and written in widely used programming languages, such as R, Python and Perl.

That’s the fundamental issue: while non-free software and SaaSS are controlled by some other entity (typically a corporation or a state), free software is controlled by its users.
