OpenMandriva Lx 4.2 RC (Release Candidate) is out. This is the last straight line before we release our final product!
Release Candidate has the potential to be a final product.
A short time ago we anticipated the release of Beta in December, and the product got an intensive internal testing. The testers reported that current quality is more close to RC than Beta.
Basically, RC will become the final OMLx 4.2 release very soon, unless we get serious bug reports.

OpenMandriva Lx 4.1 will need more beautiful pictures.
Wallpapers-extra is a collection of 10 non-default wallpapers contributed by the users. The theme for this competition is “Bright and Shiny”, so try to stick to the theme.

OpenMandriva Is Finding Great Success In Their Switch To Using LLVM’s Clang Compiler - Phoronix

OpenMandriva remains among the few Linux distributions using the LLVM Clang compiler by default where possible in place of the GCC compiler. While at times it’s difficult in maintaining this combination, they continue to find great success in using Clang as their default compiler.
OpenMandriva developer Bernhard Rosenkränzer presented at this month’s EuroLLVM conference on their use of LLVM Clang by default where nearly all Linux distributions remain with the GNU Compiler Collection.

L’ISAE-SUPAERO propose de nombreux sites web actuellement en exploitation : site institutionnel, portail de services numériques ICampus, portail d’information Intranet, site personnel, site de projet, etc.
La plupart de ces sites sont instrumentés par le CMS SPIP. L’ensemble de ces sites sont gérés techniquement par le service SI et la plupart ont été réalisé sans sous-traitance externe (sauf le site institutionnel), tant pour la conception des gabarits (pour le portail de services, intégration du framework Bootstrap) que de l’intégration au sein du système d’information (p.ex., connexion au CAS/LDAP, diffusion sélective selon le profil des personnes se connectant aux sites, etc.). Le site institutionnel a été réalisé en sous-traitance avec le CMS SPIP (dernière refonte en 2016).
De nombreux agents de l’ISAE-SUPAERO agissent en tant que contributeurs dans l’un ou l’autre de ces sites, ce qui induit une bonne connaissance fonctionnelle du backoffice SPIP. Ainsi, le contexte techno-fonctionnel de l’ISAE-SUPAERO est associé à une très bonne expérience du CMS SPIP qui se révèle performant, souple, adaptable, extensible et peu couteux. Bien que l’écosystème de SPIP soit ressentie comme en fin de vie et relativement limité dans sa configuration par défaut, il en reste néanmoins très facilement et largement utilisé et la maitrise technique du dispositif induit une agilité fonctionnelle et de très bonnes performances sur l’ensemble des sites en exploitation.

If you had to pick one favourite of all your work done in Krita so far, what would it be, and why?
I haven’t used Krita for that long, so I have only a few pieces to choose from. I suppose it would be my latest one depicting a harbor and
a ship. It’s the first painting fully painted in Krita where I really invested time to get things right. It used the Digital Atelier brushes
through the whole painting process.
What techniques and brushes did you use in it?
I was trying to imitate traditional paintings by using a limited palette and the awesome Digital Atelier brush set.

Matrix is an open protocol and network for decentralized communication, backed by an open standard and open source reference implementations for servers, clients, client SDKs, bridges, bots and more. It provides all the features you’d expect from a modern chat system: infinite scrollback, file transfer, typing notifications, read receipts, presence, search, push notifications, stickers, VoIP calling and conferencing, etc. It even provides end-to-end encryption (based on Signal’s double ratchet algorithm) for when you want some privacy.
