• Roumanie, chemins terrestres

In 2003, the photographer Thomas Holton found himself in Manhattan in a fifth-floor apartment in a Ludlow Street tenement in Chinatown. He was with a local housing advocate, and he asked the occupants, the Lams, if he could shoot photos in the 350-foot space.
Thirteen years later, Mr. Holton, now 46, is still documenting Steven and Shirley Lam (their preferred American names) and their New York-born children, Michael, Franklin and Cindy.

Loving Vincent will be the world’s first feature-length painted animation, and is brought to you by Oscar winning film companies Breakthru Films and Trademark Films. Every frame in the Loving Vincent movie is an oil painting on canvas, using the very same technique in which Vincent himself painted.

• L’attente sans fin à la frontière
▻http://blogs.afp.com/makingof/?post/refugies-l-attente-sans-fin-a-la-frontiere
IDOMENI (frontière gréco-macédonienne), 11 mars 2016 – L’attente. L’absence d’informations.
Macedonia closes its border to migrants
The decision follows an EU decree that members must enforce the open-border Schengen agreement, stipulating that nations can bar entry to any migrants who do not plan to apply for asylum in that country.

“If you remember the sixties,” goes the famous and variously attributed quotation, “you weren’t really there.” And, psychological after-effects of first-hand exposure to that era aside, increasingly many of us weren’t born anywhere near in time to take part. Those of us from the wrong place or the wrong time have had to draw what understanding of the sixties we could from that much-mythologized period’s music and movies, as well as the cloudy reflections of those who lived through it (or claimed to). But now we can get a much more direct sense through the complete digital archives of Oz, sometimes called the most controversial magazine of the sixties.
