#Pascal_Leyder similarly plays with our perception of reality with his raw take on cartography. La S Grand Atelier proudly brings his reinterpretation of maps, his series of real and imagined places to their array of exhibited artists. With apparent detachment, Leyder uses watercolor and ink to complete his cartographic visions. The reoccurrence of the written element in his work almost occupies more space than his chosen visual motifs.
Pascal Leyder fréquente l’atelier de la « S » depuis 2008. Il a sa propre production mais participe aussi régulièrement à d’autres activités comme les concerts du groupe « The Choolers » au cours desquels il dessine « live » et pour qui il a imaginé la pochette du CD. Il a pris également part aux projets collectifs « Army Secrète » et « Ave Luïa » qui font depuis partie de la collection abcd. Sa production est riche mais son intérêt se tourne plutôt vers la cartographie.

The exhibition Touchdown in the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn is an unusual presentation for an art museum, as it spotlights an anthropological theme: investigating and delineating the contours of Down’s syndrome, also called trisomy 21.
This syndrome arises through a tripling of the human chromosome 21. People with this trisomy display physical features and possess abilities that people without trisomy 21 do not have. In addition, they are susceptible to particular illnesses, including serious cardiac problems, thyroid deficiencies and leukemia. Their life expectancy is significantly lower than that of people without trisomy 21.
