It’s been over a month since the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a pandemic, and since then, there’s been a world-wide surge of data collection efforts across a variety of sectors to better understand and respond to the crisis. Existing migration data could shed light on some of the most basic questions the migration research and policy community is asking: How may migrants be affected given travel restrictions? How are they at the same time part of the response?
