Rights and Resources Initiatives (RRI) has recently published a report entitled “Landowners or Laborers: What Choice Will Developing Countries Make?” The report looks at how economic and political pressures have led countries in the global south to hand over local land to foreign investors. It examines how citizen land rights and issues surrounding land- grabbing were dealt with in 2012.
