@liotier : car j’ai très peu de confiance dans les fondations de grandes entreprises privées... et je n’aime pas que sur un projet si important on soit dépendant d’une multinationale telle que Ikea.
Tout dépends de la licence sous laquelle la Fondation Ikea publie son modèle - une licence libre voire le domaine public résolvent l’éventuel problème de dépendance.
Le travail d’une telle fondation a autant à voir avec l’humanisme qu’avec la propagande et avec l’optimisation fiscale... Mais ces deux derniers buts ne sont pas incompatibles avec le premier et ils se renforcent même mutuellement.

IKEA Is Now Designing Housing for Refugee Camps
In an expansion beyond bookshelves and meatballs, IKEA will soon be furnishing refugee camps around the world.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is partnering with the Swedish furniture giant to help build refugee housing in areas of conflict. The charitable wing of the company, the IKEA Foundation, has agreed to collaborate with UNHCR to design “flat pack” huts for the Kawergosk refugee camp in northern Iraq for Syrian refugees.
The new housing units are about twice the size of the typical UNHCR tent, equipped with insulated walls, solar panels, and private rooms. They take about four hours to assemble with the requisite illustrated instruction manual, and look somewhat like a sterile garden shed.
“The huts were tested in Ethiopia and proved to be very successful,” said Olivier Delarue, a senior advisor for UNHCR Innovation, who has a pivotal role in the partnership. “Refugees have been very happy about the living conditions because they were designed with their feedback and 60 years of UNHCR experience,” he said.
In a video produced by the IKEA Foundation that shows how to assemble the housing unit, an engineer explains: “It is like an IKEA bookshelf, easy to be transported and set up in the field.”

While the effectiveness of Syria’s aging air force is unclear, most experts believe its air-defense missile system, considerably upgraded after a 2007 Israeli strike on a suspected nuclear site, remains more potent than any the United States has faced since it bombed Serbian forces in 1999.
“These recent events have not changed our assessment of the sophistication of the Syrian air defense system,” said a senior U.S. official.
That said, the United States does indeed have the power to wipe out Syria’s air defenses.
Syria has little or no protection against hard-to-stop weapons in the U.S. arsenal like B-2 stealth bombers or ship- and submarine-launched cruise missiles. Still, it would require a huge assault involving cruise missiles, and jets possibly flying either from aircraft carriers or bases in neighboring countries.
Israeli jets managed to avoid Syrian defenses twice again in recent days, but the raids were surprise strikes that experts said would have been difficult to defend against. U.S. officials said last week the Israelis did not even enter Syrian airspace in Friday’s bombing, firing missiles instead from the skies over neighboring Lebanon.
