De là à dire que le journal prépare l’opinion à un massacre, il y a un gouffre.

Ben, Baroug, tu le dis toi-même : de manière « peu critique », l’article inverse déjà la responsabilité de la violence :
– plusieurs paragraphes citent des sources officielles annonçant explicitement l’intention de « faire couler le sang de soldats israéliens » de la part de membres de la flotille ;
– le paragraphe dégueulasse inverse la responsabilité de la violence par rapport à l’année dernière (c’est l’armée israélienne qui a tué des membres de l’IHH, mais Haaretz présente par participation de membres de l’IHH comme un danger).

Des termes comme « Moreover » en début du « paragraphe dégueulasse » ne sont pas simplement une façon « peu critique » de traiter une information. C’est l’introduction par le journaliste d’un lien logique entre des citations, manière donc d’accepter la logique présentée.

C’est annoncé :
– il y aurait une intention criminelle contre les soldats israéliens de la part des militants pacifistes ;
– les gens de l’IHH (qui se sont fait massacrer l’année dernière) sont dangereux.

Je ne vois pas comment lire ça autrement que comme l’annonce d’un bain de sang. Une forme de légitime défense préventive...

L’article n’est vraiment pas terrible et très tendancieux. Mais vu ce qu’Haaretz publie de manière globale, et plus précisément sur cette question là, je pense qu’on ne peux pas dire que le journal « prépare » l’opinion à un bain de sang, sous entendu en anesthésie l’entendement par la publication unique et répétée d’articles propagandistes.

Despite an apparent lack of evidence, the army’s disinformation found its way into top Israeli newspapers through a select group of military correspondents including the Jerusalem Post’s Yaakov Katz. Katz reported that flotilla passengers planned to kill Israeli soldiers and that they were bringing “bags of sulfur” to attack the soldiers. “This is a chemical weapon, and if poured on a soldier it can paralyze him,” an unnamed army source told Katz. “If the sulfur is then lit on fire, the soldier will light up like a torch.” Yedioth Aharanot’s Hanan Greenberg also reported, “IDF fears flotilla activists will try to kill Israeli soldiers.” And Haaretz hyped the claim in Hebrew.

Today, the army’s story was exposed as disinformation. First, Yedioth Aharonot military correspondent Alex Fishman reported, “There is no information that there is going to be a group of radicals on board that will form a hard core of violent resistance against IDF soliders. Nor is there any clear information about live weapons that will be on board the ships.” Then, a group of Israeli government ministers accused the army of “media spin” and “public relations hysteria” for claiming the flotilla passengers planned to attack soldiers with chemical weapons.
