Un professeur de chimie en Grande-Bretagne a décidé de décrypter le mystère de l’odeur des livres sur son blogue. Il ne s’agit guère d’une découverte, mais plutôt de la vulgarisation sous forme graphique des résultats d’une étude menée il y a cinq ans par des universitaires londoniens.
Dans son billet, le professeur explique que de multiples composants chimiques entrent dans la fabrication d’un livre. Impossible selon lui d’en identifier un seul qui serait responsable de cette odeur si caractéristique.
