Many BC First Nations have overlapping land claims
Google Earth may soon be helping some of the most remote BC First Nations territories map their traditional territories as part of ongoing treaty discussions with the Canadian and BC governments.

Google employees will be teaching members from about 70 First Nations across the country how to chart their land on the application during a four-day Indigenous Mapping Workshop at the University of Victoria that starts Monday.
