All my apps going forward will be progressive web apps. Progressive web apps are web applications which are designed to work even more seamlessly on mobile devices than native mobile apps.
Why Native Apps Really are Doomed: Native Apps are Doomed pt 2

“With a progressive web app, you visit a URL and immediately get to try the app. If you continue to use it, you get prompted to install it to your home screen with one click. From that point on, it behaves like a native app. It can work offline, take photos, use WebGL for 3D games, access the GPU for hardware accelerated processing, record audio, etc… The web platform has grown up. It’s time to take it seriously.”
The Two Pillars of JavaScript : ▻https://medium.com/javascript-scene/the-two-pillars-of-javascript-ee6f3281e7f3
Un article (en deux parties) de fond et d’opinion sur #javascript, que je n’avais pas publié ici. À lire absolument, si vous faites du JS.
JavaScript is one of the most important programming languages of all time, not simply because of it’s popularity, but because it popularized two features which are extremely important for the evolution of programming:
– Objects without classes (and prototypal inheritance aka OLOO — Objects Linking to Other Objects), and
– Lambdas (with closure — the keys to functional programming)
Collectively, I like to call these paradigms the two pillars of JavaScript, and I’m not ashamed to admit that they’ve spoiled me. I don’t want to program in a language without them.
Le premier paragraphe de la citation est un peu « lol », mais les articles sont bien.
