Meet the Afghan Interpreters Who Have Been Abandoned by the French Army

In October 2001, weeks after the 9/11 terror attacks, the US and its close allies invaded Afghanistan, with the aim of removing the Taliban regime, which was accused of providing a safe base to al Qaeda.
