The new coronavirus pandemic has aggravated the conditions of hundreds of thousands of refugees in Turkey. Up to 1.7 million depend on aid, which today amounts to around 17 euros per month. Many work on the black market and live in informal camps and precarious hygiene conditions.In a nation of 82 million inhabitants, which has welcomed up to 3.6 million Syrian refugees, the consequences of the new coronavirus pandemic add up to an economic and financial situation that has become difficult in the past year. And that has, in fact, transformed neighbors from “Muslim brothers” to welcome a unwanted guests which raise resources for the local population and increase the social poverty
