It was a time when the rock ‘n’ roll establishment had turned its collective back on the former New York Dolls guitarist. She got to know Thunders for who he really was, not the dissipated drug martyr he projected to the public. That book, Johnny Thunders…In Cold Blood, has just been reissued as an affordable e-book.
