Des images aériennes montrent l’étendue de la « jungle » de Calais

Tournées le 29 juillet, ces images aériennes montrent l’ampleur de la zone où s’entassent les migrants, à Calais. Baptisée la « jungle », elle abrite ceux qui essaient de passer chaque jour de l’autre côté de la Manche. Dans la nuit du 28 au 29, plus de 2 300 tentatives d’intrusion sur le site d’Eurotunnel ont été recensées. Un migrant a été retrouvé mort. Le ministère de l’intérieur français a annoncé un renforcement des effectifs avec l’arrivée de 120 policiers supplémentaires. Du côté britannique, la situation entraîne une interminable file de camions en attente de pouvoir traverser la Manche.

Not all the people who have died trying to get to the UK from Calais have been named yet, but on Tuesday night, a young Sudanese man joined that tragic list. The man became the 9th person to die since June fleeing the squalor of Calais camps for the UK.
