26 qataris dont des émirs enlevés en Irak lors d’une partie de chasse

Vingt-six personnes participant à une partie de chasse qatarie ont été enlevées par des hommes armés dans le sud de l’Irak, ont annoncé mercredi des responsables irakiens.

« 26 chasseurs qataris ont été enlevés à 03H00 heure locales (00H00 GMT) par des hommes armés non identifiés », a indiqué à l’AFP un officier de police de la province de Mouthanna, dans le sud du pays, où l’enlèvement a eu lieu.
Bonne prise, à mon avis c’est du gibier qui se négocie assez cher !

Right-wing populist Geert Wilders has been named Dutch Politician of the Year for the third time. The anti-immigration and anti-Islam MP likens the Koran to Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf’ and wants to close national borders to stop an “Islamic invasion.”
Never before has a politician won the award on three occasions. The Dutch Politician of the Year award is nominated annually by EenVandaag, a news program on public television, following a poll.
“It is great to be chosen by the public as Politician of the Year. It is a huge honor. And an encouragement to fight even harder for the interests of the Netherlands and the Dutch people in 2016,” the leader of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid, PVV) said.
Wilders, who had previously scooped the coveted title in 2010 and 2013, garnered a quarter of the more-than-37,000 votes. During a debate on the migrant crisis shortly before the announcement of the result, he shouted that all refugees must leave the country, Dutch website AD.nl reported.
The PVV is currently the leading party in the Dutch polls, more popular than the two governing coalition parties. The next challenge for Wilders is to become the next prime minister in the 2017 elections.

It’s a high probability that this attack was carried out with those basic materials shipped through Turkey. It is said the regime forces are responsible but the indictment says it’s ISIS. UN inspectors went to the site but they couldn’t find any evidence. But in this indictment, we’ve found the evidence. We know who used the sarin gas, and our government knows it too,” he said.
At the same time, Erden also accused the West and Europe in particular for providing “basic materials” to create such a powerful chemical weapon.

Moscow City Court has ordered the dissolution of the local branch of the Church of Scientology, ruling that religious freedom must not be restricted by trademarks. Scientologists vowed to appeal the alleged “anti-religious” abuse of their worshipers’ rights.
The Russian Ministry has argued that the since the term Scientology is registered as a US trademark, the Church cannot be considered a religious organization, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
“The representatives of the Church of Scientology themselves have created many legal conflicts by restricting the religious freedom through the use of trademarks,” the Ministry of Justice said. “So it turns out a commercial partnership was spreading the religion, while religion can only be spread by religions organizations,” the ministry said, adding that the organization should rather be regulated by consumer protection laws.
Now the Moscow branch of the Church of Scientology has six months to officially cease activity in the Russian capital under the court’s ruling. However, the organization plans to appeal the Moscow court’s ruling in High Court as it, they claim, violates the rights of its parishioners in Russia.

Et l’officieux états-unien pas trop non plus : brief incursion.
Question : quelles sont vraiment les règles d’engagement de l’aviation turque ? Je doute qu’en 17 secondes, le pilote ait pu obtenir une quelconque autorisation d’ouverture du feu. Dans ce cas, l’affaire ressemble de très très près à une embuscade. Étant donnée la configuration des lieux (la pointe s’avançant vers le sud, en plein milieu de la zone des combats), il suffisait d’attendre. Ç’aurait été mieux si l’avion s’était écrasé du mauvais côté de la frontière, mais là, il aurait carrément fallu le descendre au-dessus de la Syrie…
Et côté embuscade, ne pas négliger l’armée, elle-même repère de panturcs, qui n’a pas forcément besoin de la caution d’Erdoğan pour faire sa tambouille…

  N’oublions pas tous les civils qui meurent en Syrie sous toutes ces bombes, dont je doute vraiment qu’elles n’amènent la Paix.
  Je ne crois pas que Poutine ait des valeurs morales supérieures à celles des occidentaux. Ses bombes massacrent aussi.
  Les Turcs sont une population qui a su développer son pays et construire une structure démocratique (mise à mal par Erdogan, mais Erdogan ne résume pas l’ensemble de la Turquie).

  Pour la prise de recul, il me semble que la version russe est quand même à la limite de la crédibilité. Deux virages à 90° et la trajectoire arrondie entre les deux pour éviter la langue de terre, c’est quand même assez moyen.

  Du coup, le chasseur turc aurait mis une aile au dessus de la Syrie,… Le Su-24 aurait été pratiquement plein nord au moment où il a été frappé, il aurait continué sur son erre pour terminer en territoire turc.
  À côté de ce bricolage, la version turque paraît parfaitement évidente et réaliste.

  Personnellement je suis parfaitement calme.
  Ce qui me surprend c’est que les gens de gauche voient les bombes russes comme de « bonnes bombes qui tombent nécessairement sur des méchants ».
  La Russie défend en Syrie sa base militaire sur la Méditerranée , seul accès pour la Russie à cette mer, et que le dictateur Assad lui octroi moyennant l’appui russe à sa dictature (reconnue comme féroce).
  La Russie ne défend pas en Syrie la Paix, ni les civils, ni les Droits de l’Homme.
  Nous n’avons rien qui puissent nous rassurer sur la pertinence des choix, par les Russes, des cibles à bombarder.
  Que les États-Unis aient truffé le Moyen Orient de leurs propres bases militaires (et de leur porte avion Israël), peut légitimer que les Russes aient cette base sur la Méditerranée. Mais cela ne fait pas de Poutine et de ses chasseurs bombardiers des gentils dont on peut croire qu’ils ne massacreraient que Daesh, et qu’ils épargneraient des gens qui sont chez eux et qui, légitimement, refusent le régime d’Assad.

  On discute du fait de savoir si le bombardier russe était ou non dans l’espace aérien turc, mais je n’ai pas entendu hier de contestation sur le fait que, dans l’hypothèse où l’avion violait l’espace aérien turc, la Turquie pouvait l’abattre.
  C’est dire le risque que Hollande fait courir aux pilotes des Rafale qui violent l’espace aérien syrien, une violation certaine dès lors que le Conseil de sécurité, dans sa résolution du 21 novembre, a refusé d’autoriser le recours à une force militaire internationale.

  Ce passage en particulier m’a intéressé. Ces journaux se désintéressent la plupart du temps de tous les détails pouvant rendre la compréhension compliquée... Et là, pouf, on découvre les turkmènes, et leur persécution, alors que la plupart du temps, il paraîtrait que les minorités étaient justement protégées en Syrie... mais là, lapin sorti du chapeau, les rebelles de cette zone sont des persécutés, et... et même qu’ils vont à l’EI .
  Il y a toute l’ambiguité de la situation dans ce paragraphe. Les turcs protègent ceux qui sont supposés être des turcs syriens, et cette minorité est alliée avec l’EI... un peu de transitivité, et peut-être que l’énormité de la chose va arriver jusqu’au cerveau du journaliste, qui va pouvoir enfin conclure : les turcs protègent l’EI...
  Il y a aussi la référence aux turkmènes irakiens, qui eux aussi très probablement devaient être persécutés (par les kurdes, forcément, ces bourreaux sanguinaires...). Et on comprend donc que si les turques interviennent ici et là bas, c’est pour protéger la minorité turkmène présente au sein de l’EI. Ce n’est qu’un malheureux hasard si l’EI est citée et si l’EI retire un quelconque bénéfice de cette situation.
  Il n’est pas exclus que nos politiques se satisfont de tels raisonnements et prennent leurs décisions sur la foi d’analyses de ce genre...

  A Syrian insurgent group, recipient of U.S. Tow missiles, said its fighters hit the helicopter with an anti-tank missile while it was in the air and put out a video showing the helicopter being blown up after one of its fighters struck it with another missile.
  Rami Abdulrahman from the Observatory, which tracks the conflict in Syria though a wide network of sources, said at least ten people were on the helicopter when it was hit by the insurgents but they were all evacuated when it landed and before the missile destroyed it.

West Bank radio station shut down for ‘incitement’ in overnight Israeli raid by IDF — RT News

A Palestinian radio station in Hebron has been stormed and closed down by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as part of an “incitement” crackdown campaign launched by the Israeli government in the wake of deadly terror attacks on Israelis.
The IDF have raided Radio al-Khalil (which is Arabic for Hebron) based in the West Bank city of Hebron, seizing their broadcasting equipment and leaving a notice signed by Major General Roni Numa, commanding officer of Central Command, saying that the station was to remain shut down for six months.

The station has been accused by Israeli authorities of allegedly inciting violence in its broadcasts, which reportedly prompted the shutdown. The radio is very popular in the area and has a strong following.

State of emergency, blackout in Russia’s Crimea after transmission towers in Ukraine blown up — RT News

Russia’s Crimea has switched to autonomous reserve power after transmission towers in the adjacent Ukrainian Kherson region were blown up, causing a blackout. Meanwhile, the Right Sector and Crimean Tatar “activists” have been attempting to block repairs.
Crimean authorities rushed to connect hospitals and other vital infrastructure to reserve power stations and generators late on Saturday after the four main transmission lines from Ukraine were cut off in an apparent act of sabotage. The regional energy ministry has created an emergency response center to deal with the power cut.
“Crimea has been completely cut off,” the Krymenergo energy company’s director Viktor Plakida told TASS, adding that he could not immediately provide any more details.
The Crimean Emergencies Ministry has declared a state of emergency due to the complete power outage and has put rescue teams on high alert.
Nearly 1.9 million people have been left partly or fully without electricity. While important public facilities and infrastructure have been wired up to reserve sources of energy, homes all across the region have been left in the dark.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian police and journalists simultaneously posted social media reports of explosions in Chaplinka in the Kherson region, where power transmission towers supporting the lines delivering energy to Crimea are located. Photos of severed towers with a Crimean-Tatar flag hanging on one of them have been posted online.

It is apparently designed to bypass NATO radars and any existing missile defense systems, while also causing heavy damage to “important economic facilities” along the enemy’s coastal regions.
  The footnote to the slide stated that Status-6 is intended to cause “assured unacceptable damage” to an adversary force. Its detonation “in the area of the enemy coast” would result in “extensive zones of radioactive contamination” that would ensure that the region would not be used for “military, economic, business or other activity” for a “long time.”
  According to the blurred information provided in the slide, the system represents a massive torpedo, designated as “self-propelled underwater vehicle,” with a range of up to 10 thousand kilometers and capable of operating at a depth of up to 1,000 meters.
  It remains unclear if such a system is indeed being developed or the slide was presented as just one of the options the Russian military could hypothetically offer. However, according to the leaked paper, the weapons system could be developed by the Rubin design bureau for marine engineering, and may potentially be delivered using nuclear-powered “Project 09852” and “Project 09851” submarines.

A huge fireball has been spotted in the skies over the Russian city of Chita near the border with China. An unidentified flying object, most probably a meteorite, made three extra bright flashes before burning out, according to eyewitness accounts.
A video claiming to show a bolide [meteor] burning out in the skies was posted on YouTube. Witnesses described the incident as an unusually bright flash that illuminated the skies just after midnight on November 12. The falling object left long tail of light behind it.

A number of facts presented by Russia regarding last year’s crash of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 in eastern Ukraine are being ignored, Vladimir Putin’s spokesman said, a day ahead of the Dutch Safety Board presenting its final technical report on the catastrophe.
“There are facts delivered by the Russian side that for unclear reasons are being apparently ignored,” the Russian president’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, told journalists.
Peskov said that the Russian side has “repeatedly expressed its disappointment over the lack of proper level of cooperation and engagement of the Russian experts into the investigation.”
The spokesperson noted that certain leaks from the report that emerged earlier could not be verified and proved authentic.
Peskov called on the media to wait for the official report’s release and promised that the document is going to be “most thoroughly examined” by Russian experts.
According to a report in the Malaysian media, Russia’s Roasaviation flight authority handed over to the Netherlands some “serious remarks” in response to the abstract of the final report on the reasons for the MH17 crash on July 17, 2014, which killed all 298 passengers and crew members onboard.
Malaysian newspaper New Straits Time cited the deputy head of Roasaviation, Oleg Storchevoy, who wrote a letter to the International Civil Aviation Association (ICAA), accusing the Dutch-led joint investigation group of ignoring “comprehensive information delivered by Russia.”

  Three Dutch media companies have filed a joint lawsuit against the country’s Security and Justice Ministry, demanding that it disclose more documents relating to the MH17 catastrophe investigation after the ministry’s refusal to release the information.
  The Netherlands Broadcasting Foundation (NOS); the Dutch subsidiary of the European TV, radio and production company RTL Group; and the Dutch daily Volkskrant have joined forces to appeal the Netherlands Security and Justice Ministry’s refusal to make public “many documents” concerning the Malaysian Airlines MH17 crash in Eastern Ukraine last year, NOS said in a press release.
  The three media companies had previously appealed to the ministry separately, asking it to disclose MH17 investigation data based on the Freedom of Information Law (WOB). The aim of the companies was to bring to light the details of the tragedy, as well as to reconstruct the actions of Dutch officials after the catastrophe.

  Peter Klein, deputy senior editor of Dutch RTL News, said he was “frustrated” with the government’s attempts to blur over the truth with the “black marker policy.”
  “It seems to me that [such actions] are unworthy of an open, democratic society,” he said in the RTL press release.
  The Netherlands National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism, Dick Schoof, who released the documents after the request of the media companies, said that the disclosure of the documents that had not been made public could lead to deterioration of relations with “some countries and international organizations,” as well as damage the reputation of “some persons.”

  Self-defense forces from Donetsk in eastern Ukraine have handed over the remaining debris from the MH17 crash to experts from the Netherlands. The Dutch Safety Board were unaware fragments of the plane were still in Donetsk until an RT documentary aired.

Dream team: Russia’s GLONASS & China’s BeiDou to make satnav system parts together — RT News

China’s BeiDou navigation satellite system, which reportedly boasts accuracy to the centimeter, and Russia’s GLONASS, hailed as the only global rival to GPS, plan to join forces and build a production facility.
The news was broken by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who spoke in Harbin, the capital of the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang. He added that it is planned that the facility for production of receiver modules and chipsets will be based in Russia.
According to the Xinhua news agency, China began to build the BeiDou satellite navigation system in 1994, two decades after the US developed GPS. China is the third country to have an independent satellite navigation and positioning system, after the US and Russia.
BeiDou now has about 20 satellites that ensure positioning to an accuracy of 10 meters, which is set to get even better with the introduction of next generation satellites. With the help of ground-based facilities, the positioning precision of BeiDou is now accurate to the centimeter, according to Xinhua.
