INSIGHT-The “Jungle” migrants of Calais: a day in the life

CALAIS, France, Aug 4 (Reuters) - For most of the 3,000 inhabitants of the “Jungle”, a shanty town on the sand dunes of France’s north coast, the climax of each day is the nightly bid to sneak into the undersea tunnel they hope will lead to new life in Britain.

The new Jungle refugee camp in Calais opened earlier this year and is already one of the biggest migrant camps in western Europe.
