Le site allemand Correctiv publie une grande enquête en six volets sur l’infiltration des mafias italiennes dans l’économie africaine, fruit d’une collaboration transnationale entre des journalistes italiens et africains. Courrier international a interviewé d’eux d’entre eux.
L’enquête “Comment la mafia sicilienne s’est infiltrée en Afrique du Sud” que nous publions cette semaine est l’un des six volets d’une série d’articles consacrés aux différentes mafias italiennes en Afrique. Publiés sur le site de Correctiv, webzine allemand à but non lucratif, ces six longs formats emmènent les lecteurs du Kenya au Zimbabwe en passant par l’Afrique du Sud. Elles ont été coordonnées par le centre italien de journalisme d’investigation Irpi (Investigate Reporting Project Italy) et réalisées en coordination avec l’Ancir (African Network of Centers for Investigative Reporting). Elles sont le résultat d’une collaboration transnationale entre des journalistes italiens, sud-africains, namibiens et anglais. Courier international a interviewé Cecilia Anesi et Giulio Rubino, les deux journalistes italiens à l’origine de cette série d’enquêtes.

An international team of reporters from the non-profit investigative journalism centres IRPI and ANCIR (with the Investigative Dashboard Africa) partnered with the data analysts of QUATTROGATTI and the production room of CORRECT!V to uncover for the first time the Italian Mafia’s grip on Africa.
