You might think A-Z maps have been consigned to the glovebox of history. With satellite navigation and phone apps guiding us in with pinpoint accuracy, there seems little need for a dog-eared book with a huge index and tiny font size.
However, the iconic A-Z and its creator are currently enjoying a renaissance, with sales on the increase and even a musical stage show, based on the incredible story of how the company was founded 80 years ago.
