Interactive Narrative is a very broad bucket of possibilities - a story where the audience has some level of agency to influence, effect, steer, control, manipulate, tell or progress the story, has an almost infinitely wide range of possible executions. 3D, open world, first-person video games provide a great deal of agency, where as a tablet-based interactive graphic novel might allow for only very limited or specific agency. Yet both (and anything in between) can be understood as interactive simply by the presence of that agency.
