The prosecutor of the special court investigating the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri is leaving his office.
The Special Tribunal for Lebanon says Daniel Bellemare has informed U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that he is not seeking a renewal when his term expires in February for health reasons.
Bellemare has led the probe that has indicted four members of the Hezbollah militia for the 2005 truck bomb that killed Hariri and 22 others, including the suicide bomber. Hezbollah denies involvement.
