D’après GOZE, ce nom vient d’une ancienne enseigne.
Rue des Corps-Nus-Sans-Tête (Teste) D’après le père DAIRE, ce nom vient de la maison des CORNUS dont il est parlé en 1392 et 1444.
Cette rue n’a été ouverte qu’en 1478. On pense qu’une maison fort accueillante se trouvait en ce lieu, rendez-vous plus ou moins discret. Une maison des "CORNUS" était déjà connue en 1392 et 1478. L’historien PINSARD, ayant relevé dans un acte de 1702, la mention (au singulier) du "corps-nu-sans-teste", émet l’hypothèse qu’un homme a pu y être assassiné, dont le corps-nu-sans-tête et dépourvu de vêtements aurait pu être retrouvé dans ces lieux.
