A tour through Tripoli’s streets and salons does a lot to assuage concerns regarding the prospect of it joining the list of the cities pledging an oath of loyalty to the Islamic State of #Iraq and #syria (ISIS) anytime soon. Neither the previous standoff between al-Qaeda and #Hezbollah in Dahiyeh, and Hermel awakened the former’s sleeper cells in the city, nor are ISIS’ victories expected to pull off this feat, at least for the time being.
