Tout le nécessaire (sous Linux) pour scripter une sauvegarde incrémentale avec rotation en utilisant des hard-link et l’option --link-dest=repertoire_reference de rsync
précise aussi une méthode avec mount -o remount... pour que le répertoire des sauvegardes soit en read-only en dehors du temps de réalisation des sauvegardes

Say you have a container called “blah”. For backup as an image tarball, you’d do:

    lxc snapshot blah backup
    lxc publish blah/backup --alias blah-backup
    lxc image export blah-backup .
    lxc image delete blah-backup

Which will get you a tarball in your current directory.

To restore and create a container from it, you can then do:

    lxc image import TARBALL-NAME --alias blah-backup
    lxc launch blah-backup some-container-name
    lxc image delete blah-backup

Fast, secure, efficient #backup program

restic is a program that does backups right. The design goals are:

– Easy : Doing backups should be a frictionless process, otherwise you are tempted to skip it. Restic should be easy to configure and use, so that in the unlikely event of a data loss you can just restore it. Likewise, restoring data should not be complicated.
– Fast : Backing up your data with restic should only be limited by your network or hard disk bandwidth so that you can backup your files every day. Nobody does backups if it takes too much time. Restoring backups should only transfer data that is needed for the files that are to be restored, so that this process is also fast.
– Verifiable : Much more important than backup is restore, so restic enables you to easily verify that all data can be restored.
– Secure : Restic uses cryptography to guarantee confidentiality and integrity of your data. The location the backup data is stored is assumed not to be a trusted environment (e.g. a shared space where others like system administrators are able to access your backups). Restic is built to secure your data against such attackers.
– Efficient : With the growth of data, additional snapshots should only take the storage of the actual increment. Even more, duplicate data should be de-duplicated before it is actually written to the storage backend to save precious backup space.
– Free : restic is free software and licensed under the BSD 2-Clause License and actively developed on GitHub.

The shortcomings of Glowing Symphony illustrated the challenges confronting the government as it seeks to cripple the Islamic State in cyberspace.

The disruptions often require fighters to move to less secure communications, making them more vulnerable. Yet because the Islamic State fighters are so mobile, and their equipment relatively commonplace, reconstituting communications and putting material up on new servers are not difficult. Some of it has been encrypted and stored in the cloud, according to intelligence officials, meaning it can be downloaded in a new place.

“There were folks working hard on this stuff, and there were some accomplishments that had an impact, but there was no steady stream of jaw-dropping stuff coming forward as some expected,” said Mr. Geltzer, who now teaches law at Georgetown University Law Center. “There was no sort of shining cybertool.”

The Obama administration’s frustration with the lack of success against the Islamic State was one factor in its effort to oust Adm. Michael S. Rogers, the director of the N.S.A. and the commander of Cyber Command, according to several former administration officials. They complained that the organizations were too focused on traditional espionage and highly sophisticated efforts to use networks to blow up or incapacitate adversary facilities, like those in Iran and North Korea.

À la recherche d’une solution pour sauvegarder un #raspberry, j’ai choisi d’utiliser un petit script. Mais pour aller plus loin pourquoi pas utiliser Hubic avec hubicfuse et borg ?

Parce que je sais pas chez vous, mais moi avec ma petite connexion même rclone est lent.

On fait un petit tour des présentation :

Après avoir installer le client, on ajoute dans la partie developers, une application avec comme domaine de redirection http://localhost/

On obtient ainsi un client_id et client_secret dans la partie détails.

Lancement de # hubic_token il faut remplire les section cliend_id et client_secret puis nous disons amen à toute les questions :

Merde, mon ordinateur !

Je suis à une heure de chez moi. Une heure pour cogiter. Scanner mentalement tous les contenus de mon ordinateur, essayant d’estimer la perte. Je bénis mes bonnes habitudes : mon code est comité sous Git, tous mes écris sous IMAP… Ouf, tout n’est pas perdu ! Paradoxalement, ce sont les choses les plus personnelles, celles du fil de la vie, les sons, les images, les projets, les gestations… que je n’ai jamais songé à sauvegarder. Aïe !
