Oui, je suis d’accord. Est-ce à dire que l’Amérique va laisser carte blanche à tout ?
A priori oui, Obama ne dira rien. Ce qui est dommage quand on y pense, vraiment, c’est qu’il suffirait que Washigton dise : « maintenant, sérieux, vous me dégager entièrement Maale Adumim et E1 sinon on vous claque la gueule » pour qu’ils le fassent dans la semaine et gèle réellement le reste de la colonisation. La clé, l’unique clé est (hélas) entre les main de l’administration américaine. Ces gesticulations, ce n’est pas pour insulter Obama, c’est pour rappeler au monde qu’Obama est avec eux.
L’Europe aussi a des clés. Il suffirait de quelques vraies sanctions économiques. Mais même pas en rêves ça n’arrivera.
En fait, le truc choquant, c’est le faux semblant maintenu par ce qui nous sert de commentateurs : depuis la mort de Rabin, sinon plus, tous, ils s’en foutent de la paix dans cette partie du monde. Mais personne pour oser « parler vrai » et le dire, qu’ils s’en contrefoutent. Qu’ils maintiennent la pièce de théâtre juste pour donner le change...
Y-a un petit peu le même genre de narrative autour des monarchies du Golfe... du genre « on ne critique jamais et pourquoi, qu’est-ce qu’on pourrait... ».

Imprisoned Eritreans complain of being forced to leave Israel
TEL AVIV, 11 March 2013 (IRIN) - Testimonies of jailed Eritrean migrants and asylum seekers (collected by a local NGO) say officials at Saharonim prison in Israel’s Southern Negev desert are coercing them to sign “voluntary repatriation” forms.
In one of the many testimonies a 28-year-old Eritrean detainee reported being repeatedly visited by a translator telling her to accept deportation to a third country (Uganda).
“He said we would not be free from the prison and we can only go to Uganda or Eritrea. I was frustrated and depressed. I do not want to go to Uganda. Today they called me and gave me a handwritten form in Tigrinya which said: `I came from Eritrea to Israel illegally and now I want to go to Uganda voluntarily. To do this I would like the Eritrean embassy to issue me a passport and all the necessary documents.’ They asked me to sign it and wanted to take my picture on video. I refused.”
Israel is a signatory to the 1951 Refugee Convention but does not recognize Eritreans as refugees, although it does not officially deport Eritreans and allows them to stay in Israel under a group defence (temporary group protection).
Staff at the Hotline for Migrant Workers, who collected the testimonies, say the government is forcibly trying to repatriate Eritreans: “These people have no access to a refugee status determination process, they are detained under the new amendment to the infiltration law that came into effect in June 2012, which allows detention of `infiltrators’ for an unlimited amount of time; now they are told they will never be allowed to leave the prison and their only option is to go back to Uganda/Eritrea. How can this be considered voluntary?” one staff member told IRIN.
The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) representative in Israel, William Tall, told IRIN the Ministry of Interior made an attempt to offer relocation to some 23 Eritreans to Uganda but without any result so far.
At the end of February he told Israeli newspaper Ha’aretz there was nothing voluntary about this process.
One Eritrean, Tesfamihret Habtemariam, was reportedly deported from Israel earlier this month and is now in detention at Cairo airport after five years in Israel, and may be returned to Eritrea.
UNHCR advises against repatriating Eritrean nationals because of the likelihood of their being punished on return to their country.
Israel’s stance
Under an updated Anti-Infiltration law passed in January 2012, all illegal border crossers are labelled “infiltrators” and can be detained for up to three years.
The Eritreans being held in detention camps in the south are generally not notified about their right to claim asylum or given the application forms needed to do this, report NGOs.
On 18 February, official documents from the Israeli assembly, the Knesset, quote Interior Minister Eli Yishai saying deportations (by definition forced) were not yet taking place.
He said more than a 1,000 nationals of northern Sudan and Eritrea had already left voluntarily and said he hoped a lot more would decide to leave.
“And if it won’t be voluntary leave, it will be involuntary - to their country or to a different third country, and there is still no third country to sign an agreement with, but I hope we do find other third countries that we’ll have an agreement with, and we can transfer the infiltrators from here, from the Land of Israel, to their country or to another country, whether it is done willingly or not.”
Last week the Israel’s Attorney-General Yehuda Weinstein sent a letter widely reported in the local press to the director of the Interior Ministry’s Population, Immigration and Border Authority, Amnon Ben Ami, saying that under no circumstances should Eritrean nationals in Israeli custody be sent “to any destination outside Israel’s borders” until he (Weinstein) further clarifies these legal issues.

A 40-year-old Jaffa resident was allegedly attacked early Sunday morning in Tel Aviv by Jewish youths and sustained serious wounds to his head. The attack, which occurred on Herbert Samuel Street around 4:00 A.M. after the victim, Hassan Ausruf, 40, had gone out to work. Ausruf operates a street-cleaning vehicle for contractor cleaning company. When Ausruf stopped his vehicle to fill its water tank, a group of youths assaulted him.
Ausruf’s wife, Nariman, told Haaretz that a group of about 15 people started to bully and attack Hassan without provocation. “He asked them why they were attacking him and they told him with utmost chutzpah ’because you’re Arab,’” Nariman told Haaretz. “They attacked him with whatever they could get their hands on, bottles and shards of glass and they inflicted serious wounds to his head and in one of his eyes.” She added, “At some point he managed to escape with his entire face covered in blood and reached a friend where he collapsed.”

Last Updated, 2:53 p.m. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported on Tuesday that a man referred to in Israel as “Prisoner X,” who was jailed and died under mysterious circumstances in 2010, might have been an Australian-born Israeli who worked for Israel’s secret service, the Mossad.
According to the ABC, an unnamed source “with connections to Israel’s security establishment” claimed that the prisoner — whose detention and suicide at the high-security Ayalon Prison outside Tel Aviv was briefly reported on an Israeli news site in December 2010 despite a gag order — was named Ben Alon. That same month, the network reported, a man from suburban Melbourne, Ben Zygier, who had emigrated to Israel 12 years ago and changed his name to Ben Alon, died in Israel.
Although the Australian state broadcaster published video and a complete transcript of the 28-minute report online, Israeli news sites removed articles describing the ABC investigation after editors were summoned to an emergency meeting by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, Reuters reported.

Selon l’enquête réalisée par Trevor Borman pour l’émission Foreign Correspondent, Ben Zieger était issu d’une famille connue de la communauté juive de Melbourne, en Australie. « Monté » en Israël au début des années 2000, alors qu’il était âgé d’une vingtaine d’années, il aurait été recruté par le Mossad. Marié en 2006 à une Israélienne et père de deux enfants, il vivait à Raanana, dans le centre du pays, non loin de l’état-major des services secrets israéliens.
En avril 2010, il aurait été incarcéré, révèle ABC, à la prison de haute sécurité de Ayalon, près de Tel Aviv, pour un motif inconnu. Mais le régime de confidentialité exceptionnel auquel il était soumis ne se justifierait, selon les experts interrogés par la télévision australienne, que pour trahison au bénéfice d’une puissance étrangère. Il était ainsi incarcérée dans la cellule n°15, construite pour accueillir Yigal Amir, l’assassin d’Itz’hak Rabbin, et véritable prison à l’intérieur de la prison. Surveillé en permanence et « hermétiquement » isolé des autres détenus ainsi que du monde extérieur, il était une énigme, y compris pour ses gardiens qui ignoraient son identité. C’est là qu’il aurait été retrouvé pendu, en décembre 2010, après s’être semble-t-il suicidé. Le 22 décembre 2010, son corps avait été rapatrié en Australie pour être enterré dans le cimetière juif de Melbourne.

One Israeli official familiar with the case, who spoke to McClatchy on the condition that he not be identified because of the gag order, confirmed that Zygier had intended to reveal sensitive details about the Mossad’s use of foreign passports that would have harmed Israel’s diplomatic relations with Western countries.
“Its unclear how far he went and therefore what the crimes were that he is being accused of committing,” he said.
The official version of Zygier’s death – that he hanged himself in his cell on Dec. 15, 2010 – is being greeted with widespread skepticism as details about his life become known.

Les pays du BRICS, la Ligue Arabe, le mouvement des pays non alignés et d’une manière assez surprenante une grand partie des états européens ont promis de soutenir la demande. « Nous avons perdu l’Europe » : cette déclaration israélienne dit tout. Le fait est que les écluses sont ouvertes et que Washington et Tel Aviv sont très isolés.
La question qui surgit de ce tsunami de soutien est la suivante : qu’est-ce que cela signifie pour la Palestine ? Il est certain que les Palestiniens enregistrent ici une immense victoire. Mais c’est bien plus que cela. Ils peuvent désormais prendre part aux débats de l’Assemblée Générale de l’ONU et ont une tribune pour faire connaître leur poignante histoire.
Deuxièmement, il leur sera plus facile de contacter les agences de l’ONU, ce qui permettra à la Palestine d’obtenir toutes sortes d’aides de l’organisation mondiale. C’est une fissure de plus dans le cercueil du blocage inhumain qu’Israël impose à Gaza.
Par ailleurs, l’acceptation par l’ONU de la Palestine même comme un observateur non membre implique une large reconnaissances des frontières antérieures à 1967 étant donné que l’ONU est après tout l’organisme international suprême qui est la source de l’autorité sur le droit international.
Mais, ce qui terrifie le plus les Israéliens, c’est que les Palestiniens puissent devenir membres de la Cour Criminelle Internationale [CCI], ce qui, s’ils y parviennent, signifierait que les Israéliens pourraient avoir à rendre des comptes sur leurs épouvantables crimes de guerres contre les Palestiniens.
Cela pourrait avoir de graves conséquences pour Israël et ses leaders politiques et militaires.
Plus important encore, cela mettra fin à l’impunité dont a joui jusqu’à maintenant Israël pour déployer sa puissance militaire contre les citoyens sans défense de Palestine, ce qui signifie que Tel Aviv sera obligé d’y réfléchir à deux fois avant de commettre des actions qui pourraient ensuite être qualifiées de crimes de guerre.
En résumé, la supériorité militaire israélienne va devenir encore plus inutile. Une grande pression a naturellement été exercée par l’Occident sur le président de l’Autorité Palestinienne Mahmoud Abbas pour qu’il s’engage à ne pas devenir membre de la CCI. Il est probable qu’il ne le fasse pas, du moins pas tout de suite, mais il a cependant refusé de le promettre.

Ce n’est pas faute, pourtant, de disposer d’un arsenal de textes définissant, depuis plus de 30 ans, la position commune de l’Europe sur ce conflit et sur les moyens d’y mettre un terme. Le premier date du 13 juin 1980. Dans la « Déclaration de Venise », adoptée ce jour-là, 13 ans avant les Accords d’Oslo, le Conseil européen estimait que « le peuple palestinien, qui a conscience d’exister en tant que tel, doit être mis en mesure, par un processus approprié défini dans le cadre du règlement global de paix, d’exercer pleinement son droit à l’autodétermination ».
Le même document rappelait « la nécessité pour Israël de mettre fin à l’occupation territoriale qu’il maintient depuis le conflit de 1967 ». « Les Neuf [chefs d’Etat et de gouvernement], poursuivait le texte, sont profondément convaincus que les colonies de peuplement israéliennes représentent un obstacle au processus de paix au Moyen-Orient. Ils considèrent que ces colonies de peuplement ainsi que les modifications démographiques et immobilières dans les Territoires occupés sont illégales au regard du droit international ».

Le monde de l’armement est sans pitié... Israël tente de faire pression sur la commande de deux sous-marins U-209 de HDW, filiale de TKMS (ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems), à l’Egypte, pourtant conclue à l’été 2011 pour un montant de 920 millions d’euros et dont un acompte a été versé quelques mois plus tard, en décembre. Un contrat révélé par l’Egypte et qui était jusqu’ici tenu secret par Berlin... qui a également exporté très récemment six sous-marins Dophin (des U-214 modifiés pour lancer des missiles nucléaires, assure-t-on à « latribune.fr ») à Tel Aviv largement supérieurs aux U-209 égyptiens. Le premier sous-marin doit être livré à la marine égyptienne en 2016. Cette vente s’est d’ailleurs faite avec le feu vert de Washington, qui arme en partie les navires égyptiens avec des missiles mer-mer Harpoon de Boeing. Ce qui laissait supposer un accord tripartite entre Berlin, Washington et Tel Aviv.

Alors, pourquoi Israël fait-il pression sur Berlin ? Mystère. Selon certains observateurs, Tel Aviv voudrait tirer partie de ce contrat très sensible devenu officiel, en obtenant des Allemands, voire des Américains, des systèmes d’armes qui ne leur sont aujourd’hui pas accessibles. Le ministre allemand de la Défense, Thomas de Maizière, qui est visé spécifiquement par Tel Aviv - des photos du ministre dans un bar gay ont été divulguées par la presse israélienne -, a rejeté les pressions israéliennes pour faire capoter la livraison de deux sous-marins à l’Egypte, tout en reconnaissant que ce pays n’est « pas aussi stable » qu’il le souhaiterait, a-t-il précisé samedi au journal allemand « Frankfuter Rundschau ». « Aucun pays au monde n’a de droit de veto sur les décisions du gouvernement allemand », a répondu le ministre. Interrogé spécifiquement sur les pressions israéliennes visant à empêcher ce contrat de se réaliser, il a juste répété : « personne n’a de droit de veto ».
Il ne semble pas que pour l’Égypte, l’Allemagne accorde des rabais :
Le journal explique que les Allemands ont averti Israël que, malgré leurs attentes, l’Allemagne ne financerait pas environ le tiers du 1,6 milliard $ de la transaction qui couvre le 6è sous-marin Dolphin et 2 bâtiments construits en Allemagne.
L’Allemagne a financé plus de 80% du prix des 3 premiers sous-marins Dolphin d’Israël dans les années 90, et paie actuellement un tiers du prix des 2 autres sous-marins actuellement en construction en Allemagne.

Vandals burnt the door of a Catholic monastery in central Israel on Tuesday and scrawled anti-Christian graffiti in an apparent “price tag” hate crime, police and witnesses said, putting pressure on authorities to take strong action.
“A wooden door of the convent was burnt by unidentified vandals and the slogan ’Jesus is a monkey’ was sprayed on the walls” of the Trappist monastery in Latrun, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.
The Trappist abbey of Latrun, between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, is one of the most famous monastic sites of the Holy Land.
In addition to the anti-Christian graffiti, the words “mutual guarantee” as well as “Ramat Migron” and “Maoz Esther” were spray-painted in orange on the walls of the monastery.
Maoz Esther and Ramat Migron are Jewish wildcat settlement outposts in the West Bank. Israeli police destroyed two structures in Ramat Migron last week.

Pendant la nuit, la porte de l’église de l’abbaye de Latroun, proche de Jérusalem, a été incendiée et des inscriptions antichrétiennes et favorables à la colonisation israélienne des Territoires palestiniens ont été tracées sur ses murs. La France condamne fermement cet acte de vandalisme, qui vise un lieu de culte et de paix. Elle exprime sa totale solidarité vis-à-vis de la communauté des moines. L’abbaye cistercienne de Latroun est une des communautés religieuses protégée par la France au titre des accords dits Chauvel/Fischer conclus avec l’Etat d’Israël.
La France appelle les autorités israéliennes à faire toute la lumière sur ces actes graves, et à en traduire les responsables en justice.
Notre Consul général à Jérusalem s’est aussitôt rendu sur place.

Miller fails to address the genuine threats that are affecting hopes for peace and promoting extremist ideas within the country: Israeli police attacks on J14 demonstrators in Tel Aviv; trends towards greater economic inequality, the expansion of the separation wall, the continued siege of the Gaza Strip; and Israel’s categorical backing of violent West Bank settlers.

On May 15, the New York Times ran an editorial authored by Aaron David Miller under the title of “Preserving Israel’s Uncertain Status Quo.” Miller argues that the Israeli government’s attempts to achieve a “more peaceful and prosperous future” must “count for something.”
In his discursive analysis of the contemporary political climate, Miller unfolds an unabridged list of threats to Israel: the Israeli social justice movement, the Syrian uprising, the Egyptian ousting of Hosni Mubarak, Iran, the security vacuum in the Sinai, ultra-Orthodox Jewish Israelis, and ‘Arab Israelis’ (which is, of course, a crass euphemism intended to disavow the collective identity of Palestinian citizens of Israel).
Cataloging this exhaustive account of dangers, he resorts to a number of boorish clichés and Western media assumptions. Indeed, despite Israel’s malicious enemies, he argues, “the Israelis will prosper and keep their state, but the Arabs and the Iranians will never let them fully enjoy it.”

In an interview with Ynet, Yishai said the “the threat from infiltrators is no less severe than the Iranian threat. The incident today proved how much we have lost the sense of personal security for Israeli citizens.”
The incident in question was the arrest of two Eritrean men suspected of raping a 39-year-old Israeli woman in an abandoned building in Tel Aviv on Wednesday.
Yishai’s spokesman confirmed Thursday that the minister sees the threat posed by illegal migrants as no less grave than the threat of a nuclear-armed Iran, an issue which has taken the migrant topic off the front pages of the Israeli media over the past month.
The spokesman also confirmed that Yishai is pushing for the government to expand the detention centers in Israel’s south in order to eventually jail all of the estimated more than 60,000 illegal African migrants currently in Israel.

Israel’s navy is pressing for $756 million to buy four corvettes to bolster protection for the country’s growing natural gas bonanza while naval exercises around Cyprus has heightened tensions in the eastern Mediterranean.
With growing uncertainty in the region stemming from the civil war in Syria, Israel’s northern neighbor, political turmoil in Egypt, on its southern flank, and fallout from the confrontation between the United States and Iran in the Persian Gulf, Israel’s getting jumpy about the offshore gas fields that are about to make it a regional energy power.
Rappelons aussi que la frontière maritime entre Israël et le Liban est contestée. La limite que l’on voit sur la plupart des cartes est celle fixée unilatéralement par Israël.
Par ailleurs, l’exploitation d’un champ à cheval sur la frontière demande, en général, un accord entre les différents pays. En ce qui concerne le « profil bas » du Mossad, le truc à Tel Aviv est de dire qu’Israël est capable de « contrôler » les nuées de wahabbites ultras et de djihadistes-salafistes qui infestent désormais la Syrie. Même si c’est une ineptie manifeste, une chose est parfaitement claire : Israël flirte avec les islamistes du style al Qaïda.
Ce qui signifie que l’Armée Syrienne pas exactement Libre (ASL), bourrée de Frères Musulmans jusqu’au-boutistes et infiltrée par des salafistes djihadistes suit l’agenda non seulement de ceux qui la financent et l’arment – la monarchie saoudienne et le Qatar – mais aussi de Tel Aviv aux côtés de Washington et de ses caniches attitrés à Londres et à paris. Ce n’est donc pas qu’une guerre par procuration – ce sont plusieurs guerres par procuration concentriques.
Le triangle de la mort
L’objectif de Tel Aviv est clair ; un gouvernement syrien affaibli, une armée épuisée et en désarroi, la haine sectaire partout et une tendance irrésistible à la balkanisation. Le but ultime n’étant pas seulement la libanisation, mais la somalisation de la Syrie et de ses environs.

Former U.S. officials say CIA considers Israel to be Mideast’s biggest spy threat
U.S. intelligence agents stationed in Israel report multiple cases of equipment tampering, suspected break ins in recent years; CIA officials tell the Associated Press that Israel may have leaked info that led to the capture of an agent inside Syria’s chemical weapons program.
The CIA station chief opened the locked box containing the sensitive equipment he used from his home in Tel Aviv, Israel, to communicate with CIA headquarters in Virginia, only to find that someone had tampered with it. He sent word to his superiors about the break-in.
The incident, described to the Associated Press by three former senior U.S. intelligence officials, might have been dismissed as just another cloak-and-dagger incident in the world of international espionage, except that the same thing had happened to the previous station chief in Israel.
It was a not-so-subtle reminder that, even in a country friendly to the United States, the CIA was itself being watched.
In a separate episode, according to another two former U.S. officials speaking to the Associated Press, a CIA officer in Israel came home to find the food in the refrigerator had been rearranged. In all the cases, the U.S. government believes Israel’s security services were responsible.

Ce dont il référa à ses supérieurs.
Cet incident, décrit par trois anciens cadres des services secrets US aurait pu être rangé simplement parmi les péripéties qui émaillent le monde de l’espionnage international, sauf que le même chose était arrivée au précédent chef de station en Israël.
C’était un rappel pas très subtil que, même dans un pays ami des Etats Unis, la CIA elle-même était sous surveillance.

Le mois dernier à Tel Aviv, des manifestations contre les réfugiés africains ont pris un tour violent. Des manifestants ont pillé des magasins, brisé des fenêtres et lancé des bombes incendiaires sur des immeubles, notamment une crèche.
« Quittez le quartier ! »
Quelques jours auparavant, des incendiaires avaient mis le feu à la maison de 10 migrants africains à Jérusalem, faisant quatre blessés, et laissant un graffiti sans équivoque : « Quittez le quartier ! ».
Le lundi, la télévision israélienne rapportait que le Conseil de Haifa avertissait les entreprises locales qu’elles risquaient de perdre leur licence si elles employaient des réfugiés africains, et que des boutiquiers dans la ville de Sderot, au sud, refusaient de servir des immigrants.
