In my article “A Pattern Language for Women in Permaculture”, each pattern identified a core solution to a problem that undermines women’s full participation and leadership in permaculture. Since the publication of that article in the Permaculture Activist in August of 2013, I’ve been compiling “best practices” that enable us to move from dialog to committed action.
These “Best Practices” were identified by many people, from many places (including in a working group at the 2014 North American Permaculture Convergence), so I don’t aim to take credit for them, regret that it is impractical to list the names of the many people who helped shape this document, and am grateful for the time and insights so many of you contributed.
