The ambassadors of world powers are waiting for Lebanese political factions to hit an impasse in electing a new president before intervening. In the past few days, they have surveyed the situation and asked a lot questions their local allies have no answer for, but the election’s secret is that an answer will be provided when those concerned with it are least expecting it.

According to the constitution, the deadline for #Lebanon’s presidential election is May 25. However, politically-speaking, there might be another deadline which is the last few days before the end of the parliamentary term on November 20.
