Lucy Ella Parsons, née Lucia Carter en 1853 et morte à Chicago le 7 mars 1942, est une syndicaliste, socialiste radicale et anarcho-communiste connue surtout pour ses discours. Née esclave au Texas, elle s’implique en politique après son mariage avec Albert Parsons. Le couple déménage à Chicago, où elle écrit régulièrement dans le journal de son mari, The Alarm.
En 1887, #Albert_Parsons est exécuté en raison de son implication dans le massacre de #Haymarket Square. Elle continue à s’impliquer dans la politique américaine, participant entre autres à la fondation d’Industrial Workers of the World et organisant plusieurs grèves des couturières ; elle est en conflit ouvert avec Emma Goldman, en particulier en raison de leurs désaccords sur l’amour libre. Elle meurt le 7 mars 1942 dans l’incendie de sa maison et est enterrée près d’Albert Parsons. (Wikipédia)
