Iran’s port authority has said the United Kingdom might free its seized oil tanker after some documents were exchanged that would help secure its release.

British Royal Marines last month stopped and seized the vessel off the shore of Gibraltar on suspicion it carried Iranian crude oil to Syria in breach of European Union sanctions against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“Britain is interested in releasing Iran’s oil tanker Grace 1 … following the exchange of some documents, we hope the release will take place soon,” Jalal Eslami, the deputy head of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization, was quoted as saying by the official IRNA news agency on Tuesday.

“The vessel was seized based on false allegations ... it has not been freed yet.”

But a senior official in Gibraltar, speaking on condition of anonymity, denied the report, calling it “untrue”, according to The Associated Press news agency. Reuters news agency also quoted an unnamed top Gibraltarian government source as saying that that report was not correct.

والـ11 من سبتمبر هو إحدى تلك الأوراق الرابعة المؤرشفة في الأرشيف الاميركي، فبينما عقلاء العالم ومدركو الساسية الاميركية ومحللو الصور والفيديوهات، كلهم يجمعون على ان ما حدث في البرجين كان عملاً أميركياً خالصاً خطط ونفذ من الداخل الاميركي، بدليل ان الانفجارات كانت تتتابع بشكل دراماتيكي ومستمر في المبنيين وكأن المبنى انتهت صلاحيته وقام بإسقاطه وهدمه خبراء مهندسي المبنى بطريقة التفجير، ولم تكن حادثة الطيران إلا إيذاناً بالتفجير ولم تكن هي السبب الوحيد في تلك العملية، إلا أن أميركا ما زالت تلقي بالتهم هنا وهناك وهذا هو ما يمكن لنا ان نسميه الأرشفة الرابحة.

وبعد كل هذه التدخلات السافرة يوافق مجلس الشيوخ الأميركي على طلب يسمح لأهالي ضحايا اعتداءات الـ11 من سبتمبر بأن يقاضوا السعودية، لأنهم يتهمونها بدعم المعتدين، إنها وقاحة كبيرة وابتزاز رخيص ومِن مَن؟ من دولة بيتها كله ديناميت وترمي على الناس شعلة نار.

أميركا بدأت بأفغانستان، ثم اتهمت العراق، ثم ذكرت مصادر أن لإيران صلة بالأحداث، وأخيراً رجعوا للمملكة؛ أليست مسرحية هزلية؟

وإذا وافق مجلس النواب على تمرير القانون الذي يرفع الحصانة عن السعودية، وعن أي دولة تزعم أميركا أنها هاجمت مصالحها ولم يعترض أوباما بنقض الفيتو، فستلجأ كل دولة في العالم - وكلهم متضررون من أميركا - برفع الحصانة عن أميركا، ومطالبتها بالتعويضات عن الضحايا من شعوبهم الذين يقدرون بالملايين.

WASHINGTON — Saudi Arabia has told the Obama administration and members of Congress that it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the kingdom if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in American courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The Obama administration has lobbied Congress to block the bill’s passage, according to administration officials and congressional aides from both parties, and the Saudi threats have been the subject of intense discussions in recent weeks between lawmakers and officials from the State Department and the Pentagon. The officials have warned senators of diplomatic and economic fallout from the legislation.

Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi foreign minister, delivered the kingdom’s message personally last month during a trip to Washington, telling lawmakers that Saudi Arabia would be forced to sell up to $750 billion in treasury securities and other assets in the United States before they could be in danger of being frozen by American courts.
