[#Publication] Non seulement ~< Les Tentacules >~ est le quatrième roman de cette collection que j’illustre mais il est aussi le premier livre que je dévore jusqu’à la dernière miette depuis très, trop, longtemps !

Difficile d’exprimer tout ce qui, dans ce livre-cavalcade m’a troublée, traversée, happée, et qui a re-suscité mon intérêt pas seulement pour la lecture, mais aussi pour l’en-Vie et ses Mystères. Une première page qui claque comme une prédictions des suites de la pandémie actuelle alors que Rita Indiana l’a écrit en 2015. Puis un récit brodécousu, patchwork punk anar ecolo décolonial queer et syncrétiste, qui arrose mes racines, rassemble mes vies et mes morts au moment même où, dans une autre de mes vies, celle de la tisseuse kolavalk, je re-nous avec le bleu marine et l’émotif celte pour réaliser je-ne-sais-toujours-pas-quoi avec 138 fils-tentacules et un oeil d’Éternel fiché en plein milieu. Je retrouve ce faisant-lisant-liant, par delà l’amer tu-méfiant viral, la sensation étrange d’être intimement liée, décidément, à ce bassin, nombril et cordon ombilical de l’Amérique Centrale, des Antilles au Mexique...
Une lecture qui me fait depuis découvrir la musicienne qu’est aussi Rita Indiana et que j’espère voir débarquer un jour en France avec toutes les facettes son multivers.

Dans les années 1930, au Tatarstan, au cœur de la Russie. À l’âge de quinze ans, Zouleikha est mariée à un homme bien plus âgé qu’elle. Ils ont eu quatre filles, mais toutes sont mortes en bas âge. Pour son mari et sa belle-mère presque centenaire, très autoritaire, Zouleikha n’est bonne qu’à travailler. Un nouveau malheur arrive : pendant la dékoulakisation menée par Staline, le mari est assassiné et la famille expropriée. Zouleikha est déportée en Sibérie, qu’elle atteindra après un voyage en train de plusieurs mois. En chemin, elle découvre qu’elle est enceinte.

Avec ses compagnons d’exil, paysans et intellectuels, chrétiens, musulmans ou athées, elle participe à l’établissement d’une colonie sur la rivière Angara, loin de toute civilisation : c’est là qu’elle donnera naissance à son fils et trouvera l’amour. When I was kid, I bought a learning kit from the book fair that taught me about electricity. It showed me how to wire an LED light and make a buzzer. I tried to set a trap to alarm me when somebody came to my room. Around the same time in life, I had a teacher who said I was lousy at math. I’ve avoided anything math or science-related as much as possible ever since.Two things happened this week related to that math aversion. I started an intensive 10-week course to learn software development, with the end goal of finding an entry level job as a software developer.
