The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported, Friday, that Israeli soldiers killed seven Palestinians, including two children, and injured 506 others, including 90 with live fire; three of them suffered serious wounds, during the Great Return March processions, in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said, “the types of injuries, and the deliberate use of sniper fire against the protesters, reflect one of the bloodiest and most brutal military assaults against the processions in the Gaza Strip, since the massacre of May 14.”

Dr. al-Qedra stated that 506 Palestinians suffered various types of injuries, 210 of them were moved to hospitals, and added that 90 of the injured were shot with live fire, including three who suffered life-threatening wounds.

He also said that among the wounded are 35 children, four women, four medics (including one with live fire,) and two journalists.

The soldiers killed Mohammad Ali Mohammad Anshassi, 18, and Nasser Azmi Misbih, 12 , east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

In Gaza city, Israeli army sharpshooters killed Eyad Khalil Ahmad Sha’er , 18, who was killed east of the city, Mohammad Bassam Shakhsa, 24, from the Sheja’eyya neighborhood, east of Gaza city, and Mohammad Waleed Haniyya , 24, from the Shati refugee camp. Their corpses were moved to the Shifa Medical Center, west of Gaza city.

Israeli soldiers killed, Monday, one Palestinian and injured 90 others, during a protest in northern Gaza, especially at the shore where many boats attempted to sail and challenge the ongoing Israeli siege on the coastal region.

Media sources in Gaza said the soldiers fired a barrage of live fire, in addition to high-velocity gas bombs and rubber-coated steel bullets.

The Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that the soldiers killed Mohammad Fayez Salim Abu Sadeq, 21, and injured ninety other Palestinians, including ten who were shot with live fire.

It added that the soldiers also fired a gas bomb directly at a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance, while trying to reach some of the wounded protesters.

Furthermore, the soldiers shot Monser Sawwaf, a cameraman working of the Anadolu Turkish News Agency, with a gas bomb in his leg, while live rounds also struck his camera and equipment.

It is worth mentioning that, using slingshots, Palestinian protesters managed to down an Israeli drone while firing gas bombs at them.

The soldiers also fired many gas bombs and live rounds at the boats, trying to break the illegal siege on Gaza.

Israeli soldiers killed, on Wednesday night, a Palestinian child from Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, and injured many Palestinians in several parts of the coastal region.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said the soldiers killed Mo’men Ibrahim Abu Eyada, 15 , from Rafah, after shooting him with a live round in the head, east of the city.

According to Israeli Ynet News, the army said they “had no knowledge of any casualties or any live fire used by the soldiers,” and added that “only a very few officials were available for comments, because Israel was marking the Yom Kippur fast day.”

Furthermore, the soldiers fired dozens of live rounds, and high-velocity gas bombs, at Palestinian protesters near the perimeter fence, east of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza, wounding six Palestinians with live fire, and causing many to suffer the effects of teargas inhalation.

The two Palestinians were rushed to the Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, while the medics provided the needed treatment to scores of Palestinians who suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, in addition to various cuts and bruises.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported that Israeli soldiers killed, Friday, a teenage boy, and injured at least 210 others, during the Great Return March processions, in several parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, the spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza said the soldiers killed Bilal Mustafa Khaffaja , 17, after shooting him with a live round in the chest, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

He added that the soldiers also injured 210 Palestinians, including 45 with live fire, and added that 70 of the wounded were moved to several hospitals, while the rest received treatment in make-shift hospitals. Among the wounded are fifteen children.

Media sources in Gaza said the soldiers, including sharpshooters, stationed on sand hills and fortified posts, fired dozens of live rounds, in addition to rubber-coated steel bullets and high-velocity gas bombs at the protesters, along the eastern part of the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry said the soldiers killed Karim Abu Fatayer, 30, by shooting him with a live round in his head, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Sa’adi is a married father of two daughters, Rahaf, 5, and Aseel, 3, and his wife is seven months pregnant.

The Health Ministry also said the soldiers injured 270 Palestinians in several parts of the Gaza Strip, during the Great Return processions; 166 of them were treated in field clinics, and 104 were rushed to hospitals.

Among the wounded are 60 who were shot with live fire, including 19 children, in addition to nine medics, who were injured by shrapnel or suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said the latest Israeli assaults bring the number of slain Palestinians since March 30th, to 170, in addition to 18300 who were injured.

Israeli soldiers continued, on Wednesday night, the bombardment of several parts of the Gaza Strip, killing one man in northern Gaza, and wounding at least eight others.

The Health Ministry in Gaza has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed Ali al-Ghandour, 30, in northern Gaza, and wounded at least two others, one seriously.

The slain Palestinian, and the wounded, were moved to the Indonesian Hospital, in northern Gaza.

The Palestinians who were attacked were in a car which was struck by a missile fired by an Israeli army drone.

The Health Ministry in Gaza has reported that a child died, on Saturday morning, from serious wounds he suffered a day earlier, after Israeli soldiers shot him with live fire.

The Health Ministry said the child, identified as Moath Ziad Soori, 15 , died from serious wounds he suffered during the Great Return March procession, east of the al-Boreij refugee camp, in central Gaza.

The child, who was shot with a live round in the abdomen, was rushed to a hospital, but remained in a critical condition until he succumbed to his serious injuries, Saturday. Moath was from Nusseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza.

Ghazi is the husband of Lamia Abu Mustafa, a nurse who never left the medical tents hundreds of meters away from the parameter fence, providing medical aid to wounded Palestinians.

He was injured a month ago by Israeli army fire, while helping wounding Palestinians, and received treatment by his wife and other medics, and today was fatally wounded by the army.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said the soldiers injured, Friday, at least 246 Palestinians, including eleven who suffered life-threatening wounds, in addition to four medics, one journalist and nineteen children.

Dr. al-Qedra said the three slain Palestinians have been identified as Ahmad Monir al-Basous, 28, ‘Abada As’ad Ferwana, 29, and Mohammad Tawfiq al-‘Ar’ir, 27; the three, from the Sheja’eyya neighborhood in Gaza, were killed by Israeli artillery shells east of the city.

Dr. al-Qedra added that one Palestinian suffered moderate wounds in an Israeli bombardment of a site in northern Gaza, and was rushed to the Indonesian Hospital.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, said in an official statement that the three fighters are members of the group, and vowed retaliation.

Three of the wounded Palestinians suffered life-threatening injuries and are still in serious conditions.

The Israeli army started firing at the protesters after dozens of young men burnt tires near the border fence, along the eastern parts of the Gaza Strip, and launched balloons carrying the colors of the Palestinian flags, and pictures of Palestinians who were killed by the army since the protests started on Land Day, on March 30th, 2018.

Friday’s protest, part of ongoing processions for the fourteenth consecutive week, was dubbed “From Gaza to the West Bank, one fate, one blood,” expressing rejection to any attempt to isolate the Gaza Strip, and consider it a separate entity from the rest of occupied Palestine.

It is worth mentioning that Ahmad has two other brothers, identified as Rami and Ibrahim, who were also killed by Israeli army fire in previous years. Ahmad is from Nusseirat city, in Deir al-Balah, in Central Gaza Strip.

Dr. al-Qedra added that another Palestinian, identified as Mohannad Bakr Abu Tahoun, 21, died from serious wounds he suffered, after an Israeli soldier shot him with a live round in the head, on May 14th.

Abu Tahoun, from Zawaida area in Gaza city, was moved to a hospital in Gaza, before he was transferred, Wednesday, to the Al-Ahli Palestinian hospital, in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, where he succumbed to his wounds on Thursday evening.

Even after the family of one of his patients assaulted him, fracturing his nose in four places, doctor Mohamed Awad is sympathetic to the structural problems that plague Egypt’s healthcare system under the government’s austerity conditions.

“People come in frightened that their relative will die, but it’s not our fault that there is a shortage in medical supplies. I understand [this fear], but I cannot tolerate attacking doctors,” says Awad.

The patient whose family attacked Awad came into the Sahel Teaching Hospital on May 18 with a brain hemorrhage and in need of a place in the intensive care unit. Without a bed to offer her, Awad was forced to deliver the news to her family that the unit was at capacity, and that he’d called the Health Ministry to find space for her elsewhere. Angered by the news, the family attacked Awad and three other staff members at the hospital.

Awad’s story is part of a larger mosaic of repeated attacks on health practitioners. Coupled with stymied reform measures meant to improve professional and patient care conditions, this violence has tried the patience of many of his colleagues and driven a wedge in the politics of the Doctors Syndicate.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported that Israeli soldiers killed, on Monday morning until 1 in the afternoon, seven Palestinians, including two children, with live fire, and injured at least 512, in several parts of the coastal region.

Dr. Ashraf al-Qedra, spokesperson of the Health Ministry in Gaza said the soldiers injured 512 Palestinians, including at least 165 with live fire, near border areas in northern Gaza Strip, Gaza city, the Central District, Khan Younis and Rafah in the southern parts of the coastal region.

He identified the slain Palestinians as:

2 Mos’ab Yousef Abu Leila , 28. (East of Jabalia)
3 Obeida Salem Farhan , 30.
4 Mohammad Ashraf Abu Sitta , 26.

7 Bilal Ahmad Abi Doqqa , 26.
8 Jihad Mofeed al-Farra , 30. (live round in the chest, east of Khan Younis)

In addition, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate has reported that six of the wounded Palestinians are journalists.

It is worth mentioning that, at the time of this report, the Health Ministry said that two more Palestinians were also killed, but there names have not been made public yet.

Updated: The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, Monday, 41 Palestinians, including children and four officers of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, in the Gaza Strip, and injured more than 1700.

The Ministry of Interior and National Security said among the slain Palestinians are four of its officers, identified as:

Mousa Jaber Abu Hassanein, 36 – medic, Civil Defense Department.
Mo’taz Bassam an-Nuno, 30 – Internal Security Department.
Mos’ab Yousef Abu Leila, 30 – Military Intelligence Department.
Jihad Mohammad Mousa, 30 – Internal Security Department.

It said the slain officers were performing their duties and national services when the soldiers shot them dead.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that Israeli soldiers killed, Friday, one Palestinian, and injured 167, including seven who suffered very serious wounds, in the Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers killed Jaber Salem Abu Mustafa , 40, after shooting him with a live round in the chest, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

It added that, among the 167 wounded Palestinians, 49 were shot with live fire, including seven in serious conditions, and four who were directly shot with gas bombs.

Updated: Israeli soldiers killed, on Sunday afternoon, two unarmed Palestinian protesters near the eastern border of the southern city of Khan Younis.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza identified the two protesters as Baha’ Qdeih, 23, and Mohammad Abu Reeda, 20 .

The Israeli army claimed that the two Palestinians crossed the border fence before the soldiers shot them.

Safa, a local Palestinian news agency, said that the army left the two wounded Palestinians bleeding for about half an hour before allowing Palestinian paramedics to evacuate them.

Baha’ was already dead when the medics were able to reach him, while Abu Reeda was rushed to surgery at the Gaza European Hospital, but died from his serious wounds.

It said that the soldiers “detained and shot the two Palestinians in the area between the barbed-wire border fence and the Palestinians lands, east of Khan Younis.”

It is worth mentioning that Baha’ is from Abasan al-Kabeera town, while Mohammad is from Khuza’a town, in Khan Younis.ِ

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, when the paramedics arrived in the area , they found Qdeih had passed away and Abu-Reeda was still bleeding, but in critical condition.

They were evacuated to the hospital and Abu-Reeda received life-saving treatment, but was later pronounced dead.

The Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip has reported that Israeli soldiers injured, Friday, 1143 Palestinians, including 83 with live fire, among them three who suffered serious wounds, and added that the soldiers injured 149 children and targeted medics and journalists, wounding eight of them.

Today’s procession, dubbed as the Friday of workers, was held near the border fence in several parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Health Ministry said the soldiers injured 1143 Palestinians, including 83 with live fire, and added that among the wounded are 149 children and 78 women.

Three of the wounded Palestinians suffered serious injuries; 93 suffered moderate wounds and 1047 were mildly injured.

It added that the soldiers targeted medics, ambulances and reporters, wounding three medics and five journalists.
