    || Field Conditions in Hama and its Suburbs ||
    ¤ Hama City :
    In the morning, an explosion followed by intense gunfire were heard in al-Dahreya and Tareeq Halab. There were anti-regime demonstration this morning in several neighborhoods, including al-Manakh in al-Hader area, condemning the regime’s massacres and calling for the downfall of the regime.
    In the evening, there was gunfire from regime thugs in most neighborhoods aimed at frightening residents in ’Ain al-Louza, Gharb al-Mashtal, al-Mahatta, al-Dabagha, al-Nesr Roundabout, al-’Assi Square and Janoob al-Mal’aab. In al-Qusour, near Road 30, regime forces attacked protestors and fired upon them. Afterwards, they randomly raided houses and arrested some people.

    al-Dahreya Neighborhod: Thursday 07/06/2012
    On the morning of Thursday, June 7, 2012, Assad regime militias reinforced with tanks of tanks, armored vehicles and a many shabiha (regime thugs) stormed the neighborhood.
    The bombardment began at around 5 a.m. and took place from four different directions:
    From the the direction of Kazo neighborhood in the west, the direction of the political security center, the direction of the steel factory in the east and the direction of Qamhana village in the north, and the Dahreya checkpoint in the south. There was a large number of Air Force Intelligence Officers in the raid.
    The bombardment began amid intense gunfire from tanks and anti-artillery tanks and continued until 6 p.m.
    The shabiha arrested more than 40 people and summarily executed one man named Mohammad Mahmoud al-Farakh. A child sustained a serious injury, and more than 20 houses were destroyed. Shabiha stole furniture and rations from houses in the neighborhood, and they destroyed, looted and yanked out the door of the only clinic. The arbitrary gunfire that targeted houses was non-stop that day, and all means of communication were completely cut off from the neighborhood.

    ¤ Hama Countryside :
    In the early morning, Qastoun and neighboring villages in al-Ghab Plain were surrounded and stormed. Residents were unable to leave home because of the extremely intense gunfire by Assad regime army forces who were using all kinds of weapons. Residents attempted to flee these villages out of fear of a massacre similar to other massacres the regime is committing on a daily basis. IN Salamieh, 5 unidentified corpses were found on al-Riqqa Road near Salamieh, but there is no information about who the victims are.
